EG bailed the entire region from failure by qualifying to the Tokyo final and then winning champs right after, making us forget how dogshit the NA teams were in LCQ that year (champs NRG holy shit). Reality is that the region fell off a cliff ever since EG disbanded, and now we’re sending a 4th seed disaster and G2 who are admittedly good but have no realistic chance in beating GENG.
I wouldn’t be saying this if Madrid was relevant, because let’s keep it honest to ourselves, I genuinely don’t think anyone cared about that event except SEN who were desperate to end their streak of irrelevancy.
There is a reality where NA doesn’t make it to another final back to back and that scares me. This region is doomed, EG wouldve never let APAC win a trophy.
