do you think after this season he’ll be ready to make a comeback in t1? even if apeks doesn’t ascend, i feel like he has one of the better mechanics in emea and he just needed some time to build confidence before going back to franchise

it could just be me though, i personally believe he is too talented to be in t2 and he just wasn’t feeling himself when he was on liquid

I dont think so sadly
with how the season in t1 went the focus is gonna be on younger players that the coach can still shape however they want

so unless an org blows up their roster completely and is looking for a more veteran player I just cant see him getting a slot, despite looking t1 ready all year

Let's look at how Apeks 2023 is doing now

Mistic, Enzo & Keiko at Liquid getting their butts clapped
MAGNUM on KC getting IGL diffed every match
I don't even wanna talk about how bad ShadoW is

Polaris is the most free region in all of EMEA VCLs so I think he and others will end up like the old roster if they get picked up, I only trust kaajak

t2 rosters themselves will of course struggle in t1, but individually soulcas is very talented and definitely deserves another shot in a team with actual cohesion, not whatever the hell the current liquid team is

the second part of the second sentence is the point^^
people who havent been in tier 1 yet, who you can properly mold however you want to fit the team/coach
soulcas is already an established player (a good one mind you in the sense that he has been a glue player for liquid which increases his value a ton imo, but I just think teams would prefer to take the chance and try to and recreate an EG or Heretics)

KPI and Joblife clear apeks. Polaris is easily the worst league in tier 2.

always been an issue of confidence for soulcas, sadly very inconsistent at tier 1

i wouldnt be surprised to see him on NAVI next year tho, since they just blew up their roster (not officially but i seen someone in management posting for new players to start applying)

Yes, same reason many teams eventually will. They had been very successful in tier 2 valorant but only at the cost of overspending too much and it reached a point it just wasn't worth it

they were going toe to toe with an insane kpi would that not be enough for them to prolong their operations for one more season?

Apparently not, what does that really even give you tho? Not fans if you're gonna leave in the future anyway and I doubt it's definitely not positive balance wise.

Also I when I say overspending I mean a TON. Onur was not coaching for 10 bucks and the previous coach Lucas is always very clear about the money. He's been a pretty big streamer, and he could make a lot of money so he asks for big salaries. If I recall correctly I've heard him say it wouldn't really make sense to coach for less than like 6k. An average salary in the league is probably like 1,5k so yeah

I've heard that Case wanted to invest more in their CS2 team and that's why they left Valorant

Cs is probably more lucrative. But yeah the decision was definitely economical

Just to provide clarity.

CASE's decision to leave Spain had nothing to do with this year but with previous years where, in addition to the budget for esports, they supported a large number of content creators (more than 30 I think)

Yes, we were among the best paid in the Rising League but there were other teams in Europe that paid more.

That is interesting, yeah definitely not the team that paid the most. That's why I was saying it might also happen to more teams because it doesn't feel sustainable.

I was talking about the economic part because I believe that's how Lembo reported it, but I might have been wrong. I would imagine it was at least a part of the decision, do you know what it actually was? Just decided to move back to Brazil?

I think they want to focus in Esports again, that's why they fired all the content creators and kept only the CS team.

They want to move their operations to Brazil, which makes sense because Casemiro is Brazilian and has a huge soccer fan base there. At the same time, Brazil is a cheaper country than Spain which also helps.

I think that operating in Spain made sense while Casemiro was playing in the Real Madrid but then when he moved to Manchester the project didn't feel the same for him.

Fair enough

What about you? You said the other day on twitter you weren't getting many offers. Has it improved at all? idk what you're looking for but I truly don't understand why teams in need of a rebuild (KOI) wouldn't be interested, seems like a perfect fit from the outside
