Is valorant viewership growing?

I guess not just esports but as a game ect. Is the game growing in general?

its experiencing a plateau, it would be great if it can retain some longevity like CS, Minecraft, Fortnite (to some extent), etc...

Idk if this means anything but I noticed that valorant viewership on twitch used to be 100k+ even when there were no pro matches, but nowadays it averages at 60k viewers, even during the new episode it hardly made it to 100k.

I'm just basing this off of my feelings but vcj viewership actually becomes lesser although by just a bit

It's reaching the heights of CS which is inevitably gonna lead to a roadblock

Before that point, growing viewership meant attracting existing esports viewers to your game's competitive scene--but there's ultimately a limited amount of esports viewers.

It's now more a matter of growing esports viewership as a whole rather than attracting viewers from other esports

and riot is already trying to do that by promoting the esports scene within the game itself via skins, the esports hub, twitch drops, etc.

tl;dr riot have taken hold of a sizeable enough slice of the esports pie, and now they have to focus on making that pie bigger

tbh if the game wants to grow then it needs to go big in china and south Korea

There's only a limited amount of e-daters in the world

the esport is definitely growing 100%, but i'm not sure if the actual game is. i would think that it is growing or it at least it there is a higher player count currently than in 2022 or 2023

Id expect champions to boost the viewership back to where it usually is but no it has definitely dropped during the year and only seems to boost at major LAN events.
