FPX is the ONE TEAM I honestly would say you cut slack for. All the series they shouldn't have lost on paper were after they locked in the top 2 playoff seed, and they're clearly just dry running experimental comps. They very well could (and probably will) look way better during either playoffs or at Champs when they optimize their theory crafting

but like as u said they dry running shit. instead of edg throwing western comps at the wall. fpx is throwing kinda shitty ideas.

they didnt do well this split but seeing JDG and TE finally reach their potential which ive been banking on for nearly a year is nice.

i do really think that EDG will cook. at tokyo they had really good midrounding and conditioning which we've come to forget due to haodongs igling being limited. and how they looked with simon is really nice. i do really hope they make a run confidence wise if they flop i genuinely think it might be over mentally

The thing about FPX is that they're trying to find their own original solutions to specific comp problems. Everyone was questioning triple controller until ppl realized that they play fundamentally different with it compared to every team they go against, and you can't view it under the same meta lens as everything else. We can't accurately judge how it'll go until they play a series that matters enough.

If EDG flop there are definitely going to be roster changes. I don't see a world where nobody survives on it if they bomb out.

for EDG i agree however like mentally those players are like screwed even wiht new people. they gonna get shat on so hard on chiense social media. whats on vlr is 1% of the trolls they get on stream

JDG are looking great, Viva and Stew are on fire rn
BLG are getting better but idk if they're good enough to make Champs
FPX are still good but they've been shaky lately
EDG made a couple of good roster moves, can bounce back
Trace are cool, Biank is a very nice addition, but they're notoriously known for choking
All Gamers are solid af fundamentally and great at anti-stratting but they have very limited firepower

FPX had a high ceiling in Shanghai but poor defense and bad comps really screwed them over. I'm worried that they doubled down on the stupid shit that worked instead of improving what didn't work.
