What Valorant tournament would you create?

If you were the Saudi Arabia King (aka infinite money).

For the good of valorant, I'd realize the VLR World Cup, or just have another Lock In, also having a "major" with open qualifier and 24 or 32 teams.

But as a gimmicky off season event, I'd like to invite ( with proper incentive $$) 8 top Cs teams, define a map pool with 5 maps, have them train for two or three weeks, and then have them competing on valorant. I'd really like to see how they would interpret the game, which agents would they pick, which maps they would favor, if they would save more or not, if the awp would be used on attack all the time.

Would you watch my tournament idea? How do you think it would turn out?

Why would Valve allow Riot to grow Valorant using CS players? That's like Coke giving Pepsi their recipe LOL.

If I had infinite money, then I'd legit just hold another international lan in the offseason. 4 global qualifiers that incoperate Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams, then the best 3/4 from each region would make it and play eachother. Simple and everything.

The only gimmick I would add is that each team has to send a dedicated streamer to the event. The streamers would all be in the same dedicated section co-streaming the event, so the event would have more side drama. Imagine G2 vs Sen with FNS yapping at Tarik IRL. Now that's peak.

Basically LOCK//IN but with Group Stages and Last Chance

National Championships. US, Canada, Brazil, etc. culminating with a true World Champion. Open to all and all must qualify. Zero exemptions. .

Valve doesnt care at all, if it was the other way around, maybe Riot has something on the franchised players contract that forbids them from playing CS professionaly while in the franchise.

world cup would be hype but riot is too scared of scaring off advertisers and certain demographics so i doubt they would directly do it, but i do really wanna see it someday

Yep those are the best examples, but in general when sports are national you find it attracts a certain kind of crowd, think of english hooligan football culture, i think they just really want to avoid that since it doesnt really allign with what their advertisers would want. For example in 2021 we were allowed to have players walkout with flags, but riot put a stop to it

If I could I'd buy riot and completely overhaul the terrible qualifications/regular season points system currently, and completely overhaul T2.
Don't know specifically what i'd do, but surely it's possible to do better than what it is currently. The basic idea of 2 masters into champs stays the same.

If I could it would be a even in the summer where it’s fully open bracket so anyone can sign up with qualifiers online up till top 32 which then starts double elim till there is 8 teams (at this point it would become a LAN) who will qualify for the event then continue for placements. After all regions are completed the big event would be held of 64 teams with 16 groups and standard champs group stage till there is 32 teams with double elimination. In top 5 every game is BO5 and Grandfinals is Every map and depending on how many maps are in the game it would be majority. (If there’s an even number whoever is in upper bracket would get to ban a map.)
Disclaimer. Teams can stay together from franchising or T2 but also make new teams for it, similar to Premier where they have a team captain or IGL who invites others to play for this team and they make their roster.
Edit: forgot about regions. They would be NA, SA, China, Asia, Africa, East/Northern Europe, West/Southern Europe, OCE.
