They are so uncoordinated now. It worse than when they had QCK
They have role issues, out of their 5 players, 4 of them were at some point Viper players... And, you have the literal best Viper in the world (Less) and out of nowhere he's not playing Viper in anymore? I don't know why they've done that change, maybe Less doesn't want to play Viper or maybe pANcada doesn't want to learn Harbor, so that forces tuyZ into play Harbor and pANcada's only option there would be Viper since he's not gonna play a Sentinel or Initiator, forcing Less into Killjoy/Cypher. Don't get me wrong, Less is an outstanding Sentinel, but out of all of his agents I think we can all agree his Viper is what stands out the most. He was a onetrick during Kickoff, Madrid and Stage 1, why all of the sudden would you put him on another role when it's clear he's super confident in that role. He singlehandledly won their game against G2 and carried them on a lot of series
The orb pickup wasn't the killer, it was the smoke duration. You can no longer put the orb to cross to rubble, and then put the wall up to fight A main. The wall just doesn't last that long. That's why teams who moved away from Viper are playing Cypher, he can cage the rubble cross and then fight A main with double initiators. If you play Viper you have to play Killjoy, and the orb on rubble it's still meta, it just isn't as effective since once you crossed you have like 7 or 6 seconds to fight with the wall, and now that setup it's just played as a pressure tool and not that effective to early A main fights
And Haven doesn't have that problem, the attacking and defending setups are insanely strong with Viper, you may lack initiation but you can still play it around with proactivity. The attacking wall it's still amazing at denying the defending Breach and Jett's Operator, and the defense utility it's super versatile, it just gives you insane value. There's a reason Haven has been one of the few maps they looked decen, as well as their Lotus
Less is, in fact, a good Viper, understanding timings is pretty key on knowing when to apply pressure with her setups. When they played Viper as primary controller it was tuyZ who played her, but when they played her as anchor or lurker it was Less who played her, and that's because he knows how to use her kit. When anchoring he knows when to play his life or when to give up. When to bait utility with her smokes or when to just take the smokes down and take a confident duel. When attacking he knows when to apply pressure with her setups, he knows how to retain the map control while applying pressure without overextending or dying, and when he overextends he does it confidently. Zekken pointed out that he always has a feeling that whenever he's not ready Less is gonna swing his corner, and SEN and Loud are probably scrim partners
Maybe you don't wanna call him the best Viper but Less is top 3 Vipers in the world, you're right he was a world champion playing KJ and Cypher, but in that same meta he played Viper and Chamber so that doesn't say anything about his agentpool or skills with certain agents (And I know he's an excellent Sentinel, I pointed it out in my first comment)
