For all the hate Victor gets

His archetype of player is genuinely so useful, so few selfless duelists nowadays, especially those who are afraid of non duelist roles, and who are willing to do the dirty work. Even now we see him picking up primary duelist on a team that has the best initiator in the world (arguably) on sage, I genuinely feel bad for the man. Forced to play second fiddle for yay for years, only to be put in the spotlight the moment the team turns dysfunctional and forgets how to support its duelists. I don't know if he is actually washed, but even if he is he doesn't deserve whats happening to him and Ethan ngl.
Anyways boot that fraud Tuyz for forcing his igl to play duelist and get Victor some duolingo lessons asap idnc if its a straight downgrade

Do you understand that optic was all about yay and fns?
Without them these guys would be mid and it's showing now. Just look at the other players of optic where they are and how they are performing. You could have replaced victor with any other above average duelist in NA and it wouldn't have made a huge impact on their performance. Optic was always all about yay and fns. It's just the truth. Oh and marved did have a few good series too.

the real question is should a duelist be selfless? All top duelists are aggressive selfish and need to be.

yes as they need to selfish? also yeah i think victor doesn't deserve the hate but he definitely needs to be selfish and get those tiktok clips type of plays to be a "real" duelist.

You're actually lost

Victor was THE entry duelist they needed, yay spent most of his time on Chamber holding flanks or waiting for peeks. That simply doesn't work if Victor and Crashies can't get them into site.

FNS had reads on literally every other team for years, was only matched in midrounding by saadhak, and knew how to use all of the pieces on the team.

marved was also the best controller in the world for a time, and top 3 for most of his career.

Optic was the best team Valorant has ever seen because everyone had their role and executed on a player for player basis than anyone else

yes as in dive duellists should be selfless (eg you dash in and your sole purpose is to gather extra info and to distract) any kills are a bonus

idr know ab victor, I think at this point his skill would be at a level which would suit a team like c9 or eg, not really on a superteam, even if he does go for more flashy plays

every duelist is selfless in the aspect of diving for their team, ive never seen a duelist be last entry point for their team in pro play. Victor definitely has it in him to be a top duelist but its kind of the YAY situation.

And I'm trying to say that victor isn't special or a star player like yay or fns. He could have been easily replaced by an above average duelist and optic would have still been a great team. And now that nrg doesn't have a star player like yay, people are going after him since the duelists are star players in top teams and he is just an average or above average duelist.

They're going after him because they're braindead

This team isn't working, it's a structural problem

They had a star player and he looked like a bum on this roster too

It’s just unfortunate that Crashies and him are package deal. I feel like the root of the problem is with Crashies and Chet

This is just what people say when duelist players don't have crazy numbers and their team is good/supposed to be good lol. Duelist by definition of the role is selfless, some players are able to create the space and keep it (by getting kills), others run in and die 90% of the time.
