This is how format should be in my opinion:

The season is stretched and thus will smaller off season break but will contain in itself mid season break, the amount of internationals should be kept to three like this year with two masters and one champs, but the regional leagues should be consisting of two splits with each split allowing each team to play a team twice, thus a team will play a total of 44 matches in the entire season even if they don't make playoffs, the season starts in Jan end and starts with split 1 followed by masters 1 and then a small mid season break followed by split 2 and masters 2 and then another break before some playoff matches for champs qualification followed by champs , drop your suggestions on this

44 matches + playoff matches + LAN matches?

perfectly possible since there are teams today that don't play any matches for 4-5 months straight

And what about a team like Gen.G? They have been playing basically once a week minimum for a couple of months now, excluding a break here and there.

Even if a team is dogshit and only plays the 44 matches the OP says they will play, If the breaks add up to 2 months(8 weeks), then the team is playing ONE MATCH PER WEEK for 10 MONTHS. But this is an average, we aren't accounting for time spend on LANs and playoffs. Assuming these add up to two months as well, then that is 44/32 = 1.375 matches per week, which is just crazy. And you're keeping up that pace for 8 months.

also, I'd say four months in total is generous, I would've said 3 months each for breaks and Lans/Playoffs for a total of 6 months, meaning it's 44/24, = 1.8333..., which is basicaly two matches per weel

doesn't need to be one game per week tho. In CS you have entire tournaments in one weekend

proof? I didn't know about that

but also, CS and Val are different games, Val has a lot more prep, as coordinating util is much more important

a tournament with 8 teams double elimination can be played in 3 days. So for valorant with 12 teams and a group stage I think 2 - 3 weeks is more than enough

wow, that's crazy

I guess I see what you mean, but I still think have a lot of prep time is much more important in valorant

Yo bro i think u got it wrong , when I mentioned 44 matches it basically means even stretching the weeks for each week to be atleast like 4-5 days long thus allowing a team to play more matches in a single week

honestly I do not care if bad teams play less than the ones performing well

Not really. I think the current format is fine, I would just like to see fewer "lose one match and you're out" formats. I agree with making the offseason shorter, but having this many matches is just unfeasable and would burn out players.

Bro when they first announced this kind of format that even though 2 splits are there matches will still be only 12 , then the pros themselves weren't very happy abt it and they did mention it out on Twitter , if you would see

playing each team twice per split will be boring asf + too many vods

Hmm , seems that way but then atleast play each team once during every split , rather than playing half teams in split 1 and other half in split 2
