Ascension 2025 outcomes

Note : If both ASC team goes to Champions, the one with better placement stays, the other plays Ascension
Note 2 : "TOP 8" refers to Stage 2 of each league starting in 2025

1. • 1 ASC team stays by reaching Champions
   • 1 ASC goes down to Ascension and fails to win the spot
   • 1 CL team goes up

   • 1 ASC goes down to Ascension and but wins the spot
   • No CL teams goes up at all

3. • 2 ASC team hits Top 8 but not qualified to Champions, so both plays in Ascension
   • either 0/1/2 ASC teams wins the spot (so another case where no CL teams can go up)

   • 2 CL teams guaranteed going up

Yea, like it would feel like your whole season was for nothing. Playing against tier 1 talent the entire year gives you a huge edge.

next year, so if BLEED not finished Top 8 in Stage 2 2025 = they go back to Challengers for 2026 for example

Next season, if they do not finish in the top 8 and/or qualify for Champions, they are auto relegated. Their result of this season will not affect them.

on second thought, with the TPA they signed this year, G2, M8, and bleed might all get relegated after 2025

I read it as straight to GF, not even ascension tournament. but I would prefer if it was the whole tournament.
and if they ascended team doesnt make playoffs, they dont go to ascension

Yeah, ASC teams can went from

Top 8 >> Goes to Ascension >> not winning Ascension > drops to Chall

Not Top 8 >> Chall directly

I mean there's the possibility of both losing their first 2 matches or failing to make it to the playoff and placing in the same placement. Cuz during champs 2023, it's common for teams from the same region to be placed on the same placement during the champ group stage. Like Navi, Giants 9-12th place champs 2023 and PRX ZETA 9-12th place champs 2022

i’m wondering what would happen if an ascension team won the first masters and then bomb out for the rest of the season and don’t make champs

surely they wouldn’t get relegated after winning an international
