let's increase the number of teams: 8 -> 10
ok but which regions get the extra spots?
2023 finals: NA x Brazil
2024 GC: 1 extra spot to EMEA and China

i dont think who played in the finals matter, if u were to ask me, id say that china should get another slot and so should apac. there are 5 regions, every region gets 2
china, SA, NA, EMEA, APAC

emea has 3 now, buddy

It would be better to just give the 2 extra to China.
It's 2 slot for SA but Brazil can't dispute both...

Brazilian GC teams getting near to Liquid's quality (top 3 23 top 2 24) and no more slots is enfuriating and exhausting

I cant wait to see T3 season end, MIBR seems really solid in Premier

I understand the EMEA slot, you have to keep in mind what happened in 2023 with BBL Queens (all got sick, one player was on stage) and G2G got a 3rd place finish with what I think was a weak roster, this year GC EMEA looks even better with GX GC, FLCV and G2G consistently finishing in top 3 (for a reason).

HOWEVER

China getting it over BR is kind of ridiculous, I think BR has shown a really high level of play this year it doesn't do it justice to have only 1 slot. TL BR and MIBR are getting closer and closer to each other.

honest question: is it hard for gc to move to a similar "region system" in the same way ascension league/partnership league goes? pacific gc already started the transition given they took on JP and KR gc leagues (leaving CN their own). they have assigned slots per sub region (3 SEA, 1 KR, 1JP, 1OCE, 1SA, im forgetting one lol sorry) for a LAN regional finals.
