make it happen rito. stop letting these shit orgs waste your money
ButterflyEffect23 [#2]they won't do it for obvious reasons
and it's fair
It's also fair to assume if won't be like this forever, they had a bad season for external reasons but this exact thread could have been made last year about TH and KC
FireII [#3]acting like riot will let in a russian org
they can let them in when the conflict ends, I think?
Mortadelo [#4]It's also fair to assume if won't be like this forever, they had a bad season for external reasons but this exact thread could have been made last year about TH and KC
I think you misunderstood my message
my point is that Riot won't let Russian teams and organizations into the franchised league while the Russain-Ukrainian conflict is still going
ButterflyEffect23 [#5]they can let them in when the conflict ends, I think?
hopefully, Russian valorant is too good to not be represented
nobody___100 [#9]will it end?
if I speak I might get in trouble
but I hope it will end asap with the Russian withdrawal from Ukraine
B1itz [#6]KOI is a really good org, they have a massive fanbase and help grow the scene which is more important than having 11 good teams
koi is not a really good org, they just have fans cause of ibai, they have been a failure in both league and now val
FireII [#8]hopefully, Russian valorant is too good to not be represented
yeah it sucks tbh
the scene was developing at a fast pace before this whole thing happened
gg321 [#11]koi is not a really good org, they just have fans cause of ibai, they have been a failure in both league and now val
are they bad in League? I thought they had an alright team
ButterflyEffect23 [#13]are they bad in League? I thought they had an alright team
they merged with rogue when they were arguably having their best run in worlds and right after that it has been absolute downhill, now they merged with mad lions and that team is shit tier too
gg321 [#15]they merged with rogue when they were arguably having their best run in worlds and right after that it has been absolute downhill, now they merged with mad lions and that team is shit tier too
rip
Anguibok [#14]KOI have a huge fanbase, Giants or even Heretics would probably be remove before Koi
there's no shot they remove Heretics tbh
ButterflyEffect23 [#7]I think you misunderstood my message
my point is that Riot won't let Russian teams and organizations into the franchised league while the Russain-Ukrainian conflict is still going
they have been based in serbia for a while and are against the war. they should be allowed
my-dad-ate-my-toes [#19]Nah, the true solution is to get VCT CIS once the conflict ends, with KPI, Spirit, GMB, VP, Empire, forze and a few other random Russian orgs
Empire org is dead if I'm not mistaken
but still, there's plenty of Russian orgs tbh
gg321 [#15]they merged with rogue when they were arguably having their best run in worlds and right after that it has been absolute downhill, now they merged with mad lions and that team is shit tier too
Nothing further from the truth lmao. They merged with Rogue but Rogue is who made the LOL roster that went to complete shit, and look at them now they’re absolute dogshit, nothing to do with KOI
And they have started bad the summer split with MAD but they have been a top 3 team in EU this year overall so idk wtf you’re saying. Also, it’s mostly MAD staff and Movistar Riders staff in charge of most of those decisions which have proven to be extremely successful orgs
ButterflyEffect23 [#17]there's no shot they remove Heretics tbh
You judge org by their hype/fan more than their actual level. Level change fan usually stays, if tomorrow TH become a trash team who will care about them ? In a franchised league you need team that people will care even they end 10th
my-dad-ate-my-toes [#19]Nah, the true solution is to get VCT CIS once the conflict ends, with KPI, Spirit, GMB, VP, Empire, forze and a few other random Russian orgs
Still they will need a franchised team, only navi representing CIS in frnachising is insane and will just make Ascention a league where RU might roll everyone (Imagine the same situation in APAC where you have more or less 0 KR team, KR org would just steamroll ascention
Anguibok [#22]You judge org by their hype/fan more than their actual level. Level change fan usually stays, if tomorrow TH become a trash team who will care about them ? In a franchised league you need team that people will care even they end 10th
Idk what image you have of TH but they have a shit tone of fans. Giants is by far smaller for example

TH has a big fanbase tho. Much bigger than Giants fanbase, for example
Mortadelo [#24]Idk what image you have of TH but they have a shit tone of fans. Giants is by far smaller for example
Fair enough, I don't have the data.
But are you sure it was true even last year when team was bad ?

They are pretty big overall as an org, for example, Grefg, one of the owners peaked 2.3M viewers on twitch a couple years ago. It obviously doesn't translate like that to Valorant but they have Mixwell who is huge as a Content Creator. Fn and COD is where they have the most fans tho. But they've been decent in Cs and are in LEC now
It was harder last year because he wasn't making much content while playing, but if they had a bad year this year they would have a lot of support for sure
ConsistentCycles [#27]riot should definitely get rid of koi if they hate people watching valorant
lol

Thanks, i'm convinced. So thats probably Giants that should go
Anguibok [#30]Thanks, i'm convinced.

If we're going off of fanbase yea, they're probably the smallest in the league
ButterflyEffect23 [#7]I think you misunderstood my message

I think he understood, but is just making an argument behind why they shouldn't be removing orgs. I agree, riot shouldn't be giving money to oligarchs.
FireII [#8]hopefully, Russian valorant is too good to not be represented
Nothing is stopping non-russian organizations from signing Russian players or entire teams (I.e. c9 cs). You have to keep in mind, riot shares revenue with organizations, so they would indirectly be helping fund the invasion of Ukraine, as many Russian orgs are owned by people in the pockets of the country's government. Probably the same reason we won't see Team Falcons make it to franchising, unless by some miracle.

Mb, KPI ascending is the closest we're gonna get to seeing a Russian team
Mortadelo [#34]Mb, KPI ascending is the closest we're gonna get to seeing a Russian team
yeah, sadly it's true
the CIS Scene was developing so fast smh

"mad have been a top 3 team in eu this year overall" just laughed irl, flag could never check out more,u seem like a reasonable person but then u just pull out the most bullshit takes ever when it comes to spanish orgs and players, they were shit in spring and have been looking even worse now, teams like bds and fnatic have made top 4 in both splits with better regular season records and are still in better form how exactly is mad a top 3 team this year

I could make the case on why I disagree. But I’m gonna go go a different route. Name me 1 more better team than them this year. You’ve named 3 so far
