Is it safe to assume now that PRX would have gone deeper into the tournament had they retained Monyet and released Mindfreak instead?

In literally every way, monyet on prx was a throw round after round

monyet was still new to the team and he literally performed better each day but sadly he's replaced by jinggg
and also monyet is more consistent, flexible, and better firepower so it would've been a massive upgrade

Monyet was doing better than texture on GE

Sure, but not on PRX

probably could have, monyet was goated at smokes on global last year and was their only consistently good player other than texture. Don't blame Paper Rex for keeping MindFreak for this event since he's been pretty clutch at every LAN, this was definitely his worst tournament so far.

i agree that keeping monyet on the prx roster would have gotten them placed a little higher.

Especially Considering he came in kick off having huge shoes to fill and ending up placing 3rd overall at masters madrid, a tournament that i think a lot of people would agree was at a higher level than what we’re seeing at shanghai (i would even argue that madrid geng was stronger than shanghai geng)

I liked monyet on prx cause he helped with an issue i’ve seen people complain alot about here. overpeeking and aggressiveness. because monyet didn’t have that w gaming mindset it forced all the other players to have to slow down their tempo so he could keep up.

I think had they let monyet stay or subbed him for someone else other than jinggg, they would’ve seen really positive results especially cause jinggg is really only a star player on raze, he’s not as flex
