i saw someone say pacific will be allowed to play vyse but i haven’t been able to find patch info anywhere so idk if that’s true

and u could argue that a team that’s considered the best in pacific would be able to pívot and adjust to sudden meta changes such as vyse or a new agent pool.

sorry i should’ve clarified my wording. My point is that KC unlike most teams was a strat and macro heavy team that needed time to come up with fresh new stuff. With that being the case, having an entire off season before split 1 allowed them to play their strength. After madrid they couldn’t because the length of off time was no where near the same. I understand in the end everyone had the same time to prepare but my point is KC is a special case that would’ve preformed better had they had more time. Other teams were not as protocol heavy.

And agreed, KC and TH dominance in the first half was a nice refresher. Everyone was getting sick of emea being considered a 1 team region. FuT and VIT were also very pleasant surprises. Hopefully with Derke leaving and all the free talent from ascension, some new king of emea will appear

KC did really well cause they were the worst team last season. Meaning out of all the teams they had the earliest and longest off season to straight cook up strats. But at a certain point (after madrid) they ran out of strats and they just didn’t have the same amount of time to cook up more and fresh new strats.

2024 KC on paper isn’t dogshit, we’ve seen them dominate EMEA before. It’s just that the format wasn’t very kind to them considering they are a macro heavy team. With the very short breaks between matches and internationals, and then the constant changing of agent metas and map pools they didn’t have the time to keep up.

After kickoff I think it was zeish who said despite dominating emea they hadn’t even shown 20% of their strats, and during the off season they would practice protocols for every single situation and team by remaking 2v2, 3v3 situations in customs. It sucks they fell off during the second half but had the vct season not been so packed together i think they would’ve done a lot better

ok now bare with me when i say this but i went to iceland for the summer last year and i was in a house with a lot of other international students. Every so often one of the house owner’s relatives would pop in (like his sons and daughters) and bro when his son swung by, he had every women in that house falling over. and ngl he might’ve been the most attractive person my age i’ve ever seen in my life. Bro tall asf, clean accent but well spoken, he said he played semi pro volleyball and he was fit. Like i ain’t gay or nothing but damn

ye when i was thinking about americas that is def the first international relationship that came to mind but i wasn’t sure whether to count it cause i feel like tenz is valorant’s biggest name and that kinda pushes u to have a lot more connections and make them easily

those streams were awesome

mmm i didn’t think about that, im sure ur right that the differences in americas culture to the rest of the world def play a part. I imagine it’s easier making friends as an international cause there’s more you share within your cultures

Maybe i’m mistaken but it feels like the players in americas are in their own little bubble outside of the rest of the regions (to say the other regions interact with eachother a lot whereas americas doesn’t)

Off the top of my head you have the friendship with Heretics and GenG where they even went out for korean bbq. KangKang posted texts between him and PRX mindfreak. Boaster has talked about his relationship with the PRX players quite a lot.

But it feels like you don’t really hear about americas players being close to players outside of the region Am I wrong thinking this and are there any examples?

i very much doubt potter would sign to NRG. despite all the fumbles EG as an org have had, they jump started Potter’s career, kept her around over every other player and have given her everything she’s wanted (good example is how she said she’s always wanted supaman on a roster).

i’m pretty sure it’s for these reasons why Potter decided to stay with EG in the first place, im sure she got much better offers during the off season but she’s loyal to the org rn and with how EG looked at the end of last split she might stay.

i agree that keeping monyet on the prx roster would have gotten them placed a little higher.

Especially Considering he came in kick off having huge shoes to fill and ending up placing 3rd overall at masters madrid, a tournament that i think a lot of people would agree was at a higher level than what we’re seeing at shanghai (i would even argue that madrid geng was stronger than shanghai geng)

I liked monyet on prx cause he helped with an issue i’ve seen people complain alot about here. overpeeking and aggressiveness. because monyet didn’t have that w gaming mindset it forced all the other players to have to slow down their tempo so he could keep up.

I think had they let monyet stay or subbed him for someone else other than jinggg, they would’ve seen really positive results especially cause jinggg is really only a star player on raze, he’s not as flex

I usually stream VCT Americas and After turn the clips from the stream into a youtube video with editing and all. But americas has a form you submit in order to use the streams for content.

Is there something like that for VCT Masters? Can I stream it? Can I make youtube videos from watching it? Are There any Forms?

This is an insane hate post to make about Monyet.

To say all of PRX deserves the top 3 spot but not him is just unfair and untrue. Valorant is a team game, especially at a high level like this. You can’t just carry a weak link this far like that, all 5 players need to have impact and they did. Sure they could’ve had more and placed higher but considering the level of the other teams they beat, they obviously did really well together and this roster will make champions if they keep this form.

Alecks said it himself, the team has been together for 3 years with the exception of something who has been here for a year now. Bringing in a new player and having them synergize is not something that happens over a few month off season. Of course he would have the weakest voice among a group that’s been together for years and he won’t align with aleck’s ideology perfectly. he doesn’t know alecks or how he thinks, not yet. Considering that they did really well here, PRX aren’t gonna get rid of him anytime soon, there’s real potential and it’s just small things that can be fixed overtime.

his primary role has always been smokes though, throughout all of 2023 that’s what he played and had a high performance on.
