Most likely. I mean matchfixing is a serious thing. I think some people will get punished hard while some may get away with less. Depends on how major it was and what was the role of each player. But at the same time we have players like Brax and Steel still competing in tier 1 Valorant, so who knows.
Nobody knows why he got benched. The Team sucked hard and they somehow made it to playoffs with a lot of luck ofc. They literally became a Tier 3 Team with 0 synergy that knew someone has to go to make place for something new. I bet none of faze Players believed they could actually make it to playoffs but it's NA.
They sucked really hard and they made it with a lot of luck to the playoffs. feel free to re-watch the games. If faze wouldn't have made it to playoffs, you would now open Threads who faze should sign because the current Team wouldn't exist anymore. Don't tell me you knew faze will make it to playoofs? o.O
I can't believe how naive you are! these people who Match fixed have Family and Friends around the Globe. Imagine now some of them knew that the Games are fixed and get rich overnight placing huge bets on the right Teams. Now try investigate in direction Asia, Africa. GL!
You guys really think they Match Fixed to get a warm Meal for Lunch? lmao!
Isn't it the same? You are losing on purpose and you make the Game end as you wish. It doesn't matter you place bets or not behind the scenes. It's Match fixing and this is also a reason to ban People for. Nobody wants to watch a game where they know they will lose to get easier enemies. that's not how Sports should be! There should be no org. tolerating this bs but meanwhile they do. Someone from c9 admitted they lost to get a better seed. That's a shame for eSport!
To an extent and yes I believe in the contract these pros sign with Riot there's a section stating they must try their hardest every match. But this ESIC investigation is only going on due to the gambling and large amount of money involved. Throwing and fixing are two different things, imo. Matchfixing, the two teams collaborated to fix the outcome of the match (at least in the most serious cases). Throwing would just be one team throwing a match since loosing benefits them in some ways, usually seeding. Matches being potentially "thrown" are usually due to bad format by the TO's. People also just call all seeding games "throws" and don't even take into account that teams are experimenting, since seeding games are like an official scrim.
You know it's a great Game when you know both sides would like to lose to get a better seed. We all know Riot's valorant isn't as big as they wanted it to be at this point so they won't start making Orgs who pay these Match fixers feel uneasy and maybe quit the Game completely. If you think IBUYPOWER was the only Org who Match Fixed you are a Childbrain, sry. eSport is just an another Tool for Money laundering! Even faze clan scammed people and hope you don't think that was just an coincidence. they try their best to rip off People and Crypto Currency bs is the best way to do it in eSports! WTH is FTX and how can they give TSM 210 Million Dollers? The whole scene is busted! 210 Million Dollers for Gamiing while even Top Football Clubs struggle to find a sponsor for 50 Million €. This all makes so much sense, doesn't it?
The only thing ima respond to is the seeding part. Everything else you said is irrelevant, wasn't brought up in the original post and I never brought it up. Its not just esports where teams "throw" when seeding is involved. It happens in many mainstream sports as well. Whenever a team knows who'll they'll face if they lose/win, that team will obviously pick who they want to play. Anyone would. Its not considered a throw its just the smart thing to do. Don't act like you wouldn't if you were in that situation. Win play the best team, lose play one of the not so good teams. Its a no brainer and any competitive person would do the later. This happens in all sports. Also, why are you supporting a team who has a matchfixer on it if you take all this so personally? BTW it sounds like you've been scammed 1 to many times with crypto. Next time use your brain and it wont happen.
