has cs peaked in terms of pro play? like are the majors winners years ago on the same level as now (strategically not mechanically)
IAmRichYouAreNot [#4]2018 to 2019 was the biggest leap IMO. Astralis introduced a new way to play CS with util heavy starts. 2021 to now, the leap isn't as big, but definitely the level is higher still, everyone has to come up ways to beat each other
The only change since 2021 is cadians heroic and aggressive defences… before people just sat and did f all on ct side now they all wanna get info 30 days before the execute
goofyahh1447 [#2]once EU pros switch to valo.. it's over for midmericas and assific
im physically cringed at this
It depends on what you view as change of strategy, because CS2 new smokes and mollies have changed ways of taking map control and approach of the game, MR12 has changed economy management a bit. Idk if this qualifies as improvement in strategy, but newer ways of throwing certain utility are still being discovered which changes how rest of the team and enemies react to certain situations.

Hyssopus1 [#3]The last roster to win a major is pathetic so idk
Na'vi has a great team though. I'll agree to someone saying they're inconsistent though

it was impressive for navi to win without s1mple though

Why would they switch to a low skill, low intelligence, dying game?
