Hello, I assigned point values to placements through all international Valorant Tournaments. Below are the results!

TL;DR: over the course of Valorant Americas has been the best!

I feel like the point distribution is fair and solid as it is! I don't know if we'd win if it was 1st 10, 2nd 9 etc but I don't see why not.

I made the initial point values and then just grabbed data from Liquipedia on placements and assigned them to Region based off who was on the team.

The points system is cool but America's is 30 points ahead but have the same amount of trophies. That proves that Emea teams have a higher Peak than America's

Because in events prior to 2023, the americas region and pacific region was split into sub regions which resulted in each region having more slots internationally.

Champions 2022 for example:
3 EMEA teams: fpx/fnc/liquid
7 Americas teams: optic/xset/loud/lev/100t/kru/boom
5 pacific teams: drx/zeta/prx/xerxia/boom
1 chinese teams: EDG (this was a qualifier slot also included pacific teams)

i truly dont care about this debate, there were just flaws in your reasonings.

we're 5 in 5 for trophies and EMEA's trophies include LOCK:IN which was the only tournament that was single elim (most people find this the most fraudulent of all)
meaning it comes down to avg placement, which Americas has better.

sure but why are we acting like "americas" having the most is impressive? U have 3 massive independent regions with their own slots for events before franchising combined only 2 years ago,before that no one in their right mind would think its a flex that the whole americas has more competitive teams,but now the narrative has changed for some reason just cause the league has both SA and NA teams

again the "more ppl" argument,lets look at the ranked playerbases in tracker,with statistically 1b more ppl emea has a whopping 500k more ranked payers currently than americas with americas having around 2.2m and emea 2.7m
the us at one point had more cs players than every eu country expect russia but doesn't even have more success than Denmark or sweden with populations smaller than new york city,per capita is what makes the difference not more ppl

This list could be valid if each region had equal participants in each event, but they didn't so makes no sense. e.g. champions 2022 had 7 teams from Americas and 3 from EMEA.
