how can you justify this franchise system where CN #2 makes masters over better eu/americas teams
money
i do have to say though, the more China plays in these international events, the better china will become at valorant. they have the most insane aim, get some fundamentals and you'll get the GenG equivalent of Chinese teams. it'll suck for a year, but the competition of china will be much better in the future
sure FPX lost all maps but they were close on a lot, 13-5 and then 13-11, 13-8, 13-10
if they were just a little bit better they could've won/brought series to 3 maps
also you're a CS player
didn't everyone say ecstatic fluked the major? pain and imperial 0-3 bracket?
aren't those teams all up 2-1?
focus on your own game broski
Asuna_Yuuki [#5]Better APAC/Americas teams you mean
EU sucks
yeah better americas teams like botrg who lost to sen by what? was it 13-1 or 13-3?

Anybody who was saying that hasn't been following CS in a long time. Ecstatic we're a surprise but Pain and Imperial doing well isn't really surprising in the challenger portion if the major.

everyone was saying pain 0-3, imperial not so much (even casters and analysts)
either way I know people who put imperial 0-3 anyways

At least we got a map unlike N4rrate and co. 🤡
We almost 2-0ed them in a 16-14 loss on sunset
NRG would crush KC
KC just play in a farmers league
KC are only the second team this year to lose to SEN 2-0

Anyone saying pain 0-3 was a brainlet. They've regularly managed upsets and knocked out tier 1 teams from tournaments. Pain are probably more reliable than Imperial against non Brazilian teams.
Lynn Vision and Legacy would have been my 0-3 picks.

and legacy and lynn vision are already 1-2
isn't this proving my point that CS is extremely unstable
I would rather the game I enjoy not just become a one-region game where every meaningful match is between two teams from the same region with the occasional BR team in the mix :)
Brings more fans, and more interesting story lines to follow. + it makes it that much more satisfying when one of those teams does end up making the next masters or champs.
aggressivelyholdingangles [#26]league of legend esports is a joke
how can you justify this franchise system where NA #2 makes MSI over better chinese/korean teams
i dont follow league esports, but I would agree if thats the case

has been the case for 10+ years lil bro, Riot's welfare handout to NA = 1000x the handout they give to CN
sn4ke_gg [#30]Idk, but I like the fact that the in Valorant world tournaments are actually worldwide unlike CS which are basically two regions competing.
17 slot on major competitive in 1 region is to funny

thanks! i have a final in an hour and i'm procrastinating on doing my last minute studying

i mean if most people here saw the rapidly growing fanbase in china for vct and valorant and how much profit that is bringing them, they wouldn't blame riot for giving them their slots and their own region.
