NRG unproven

Can someone actually show the rationality behind calling NRG a superteam at this point in the tournament?

Cuz I didn't see anything special about NRG on their matches. Demon1 is doing the usual of playing a cracked game but the other guys just seem to have their aim steady.

I haven't seen any tactics or mega reads on their part, no comp cooking or execute plays that are insane.

They just seem .... Good. Like. They seem good at doing the basics, but I don't see any spice from them.

I'm not saying they are bad, but they don't seem to have what other top contender teams have. Hell, Fnatic and Loud have high level teamplay, Loud specifically has incredible meta knowledge, Sentinels has insane pop off potential, EDG is just nasty insane, GenG also looks coordinated in a unpredictable fashion.

Why?

fnatic played the entirety of last year like that and did great, I feel like when your players are that good sticking to the basics might be the best option (though fnatic's underperformance in champs does raise questions)

On paper they look incredible, but to your point about them not having "spice". I don't think they need "spice", they're all championship winning players, I think as long as they nail the fundamentals, they'll probably do great-- I don't think they need to do much at all to succeed, and I wouldn't doubt that they probably have been cooking stuff up, they just haven't shown any of it because they played against a weak Furia and a middling Cloud9. It's as if we know as much about them as we did before kick off even started.
