The peak will increase when there's a "great" match (a match between 2 teams with huge fanbase), but the average is already better, so it's not doing that bad

In 2023 KC, BBL, KOI and Fnatic are the most-watched teams. So we can still expect some growth

it's happening at the same time as the counterstrike PGL major RMR qualifiers (pretty big for euros) and fewer people from americas/apac can watch due to it being morning on a weekday for americas. EMEA viewership has never been that great for VCT though, biggest growth areas have been in APAC/CN.

im not gonna deny they are the weakest region rn but they will close the gap by a good margin. Its important for the future that high viewership teams like KC, KOI, GM8 and FNC perform well. Both for more hype and so they play more games and shift the average.

Sen and Loud being successful lately has been crushing EMEA. They are fortunate for that.

Keep in mind as well, that Pacific is already at play-in stage, Americas has had two Elimination Matches, and EMEA is still finishing up opening matches.
I am sure by the time FNC plays or during Elimination Matches, there will be a rise in viewership. Maybe not to the degree of Americas, but closer to Pacific.

So the reason is that it's just the beginning of the season, 2024 certainly looks promising but these numbers probably aren't accurately representative of the 2024 VCT
