Recently I watch Demon1 play Valorant and that aim of his is really what made me go "WOOOAAAHHHHH!!!".
The playstyle, the Aces, the Clutches, etc. are smooth AF NGL!!!!!!
Half the duelist = Jett vs Jett/Raze
Stop being stupid, you know i am right. Just look at someone like cryo: Amazing jett player, cant play raze. he was great on xset cus he could play chamber and he could have zekken on raze, but 100t had a washed raze player (asuna) and they did shit. not saying thats the reason they did so poorly, but its one of them. Demon1 could have better aim, movement, teamplay, etc. means absolutely nothing if hes forced to play raze if no other playe r can. Its literally an almost guaranteed loss on any raze map against teams with good raze players.
I consider a plethora of factors when rating players, ranging from . These are some of the players I rate highly off the top of my head:
Boaster: 10/10
Saadhak: 10/10
Less: 10/10
Chronicle: 9/10
stax: 9/10
autumn: 9/10
Jamppi: 9/10
CHICHOO: 9/10
something: 9/10
ANGE1: 8/10
FiNESSE: 8/10
Smoggy: 8/10
BerLIN: 8/10
c0m: 8/10
etc
Now that I really think about it, a 7/10 for Demon1 might be too low. However, I can't see myself rating him higher than an 8 any time soon.
Yeah, I can get that. I rate some players specially. For example, when it comes to IGLs, I focus less on their skill, and more on their ability to lead and make good calls/decisions. BerLIN is quite well known for cooking up FPX's fun strategies and since they're always so chaotic and entertaining to watch, I tend to rate BerLIN quite high.
I'm sorry, but I don't think I did anything to warrant your aggression. I've stated very clearly, that my ratings and rankings are my opinions and my opinions alone. I'm not saying that a player rated 10/10 will beat a player rated 7/10 or even 5/10.
For example, Demon1 clears everyone on that list in a 1v1 or heck even a 1v2. It's just that my personal ethics, morals, and beliefs and preferences regarding what makes a "good" player are reflected in my ratings (if you want me to explain what they are, I'd be glad to.)
However, one thing I must point out is this statement of yours.
"You either do not watch the game, or you don't understand what you're seeing."
I really do not appreciate this statement, as it is quite subjective and frankly untrue. I have spent quite a long time following Valorant Esports, and I'm almost certain that I do indeed watch pro Valorant matches, and in my opinion, I do indeed understand what happens in each and every round. Contrary to your belief, of course.
I apologize for your misunderstanding on your behalf, and I will make sure to be more clear in the future.
If there's anything you want me to elaborate on, I'll do so happily.
Happy January!
While babysauske is being rude, I think what they mean is that rating players is kinda its own entire industry, separate from watching the game. No one who rates players does so by just watching matches, since you don't even see every player's POV. They look at statistics and a bunch of math. The stats page here on VLR is a good entry to that, but the VLR "rating" stat can also be misleading and not everyone approves of it. This video goes nuts into more complex stats and makes it clear why rating players is hard https://youtu.be/FrLtJSpaSLI
Every one of the players you mentioned is good, and honestly probably more fun to watch than other players. But giving them numerical ratings like that seems odd if other people think you're comparing them to calculated ratings. Many of those players are nowhere near the top 10.
Yeah, I understand the point you're getting at here. It really is just my fault that I didn't explicitly mention the fact that those number ratings I gave those players aren't based on stats whatsoever.
I really just have to focus on improving my communication skills, especially in a place like the internet where everyone can have varying interpretations of my words. I've made a couple confusing/misleading comments on this site as of late, and while I do appreciate discussion and criticism, the ideal situation for me is one where I am able to convey my ideas coherently and clearly, thus not having to apologize for any mistakes made.
Thank you for the insightful video though! Great watch.
I thank you for respecting my opinion. That list I put up was indeed highly biased and it isn't intended to be serious at all. I just don't rate players completely off of skill and performances like others might. I'm sorry if I really did break your heart. If there is any way I can fix it, feel free to make some suggestions and I will see what I can do. <3
in a discussion like this, it's really unnecessary to rate players outside of their overall skill though bc all it does it makes you appear pompous by bringing in factors that don't collate with their ingame performance, which is what we're talking about here yknow? also im not having sex with you i dont see you that way
Well, I'm sorry if I made myself appear pompous, as that was not my intention and I most certainly do not see my opinions as more important than others. I was simply answering the question, which was "How would you rate Demon1 from 1-10". I just rated him how I rate every other player, and I do believe I stated quite frankly that I believe "his aim is unrivaled". Therefore you could probably extrapolate that if based on skill alone I'd easily rate Demon1 a 10/10, and I apologize if I didn't make it clear. Demon1 is an amazing player skillwise and I don't mean to undercredit him in anyway.
Also, I don't believe I ever requested to copulate with you, and it saddens me to see you interpret my words that way.
Cheers cartixuzi, I enjoy talking to you a bit more than you may think.
I didn't state this, but that's a skill issue on my behalf. I rate Boaster a 10/10 because he comes up with nice strats, is a great IGL (motivational), has a great personality, sings very well, and interacts with the community in a positive way among other aspects that I think he excels in. Of course, his skill isn't all that bad.
