I mean, fnatic broke the bank to buy players for each role. Like, best in the world in every role. Hard to compare.
I do agree, however, that most franchised teams seem to find mechanically gifted players, independent of their roles, and try to mould them into different players. The new KC roster, the new vitality roster, and the KOI roster from last season are all examples of this IMO.
Flexibility is great and all, but a lot of adaption is req'd if everyone did this. It's just not very often that you can sign actually 5 players w/ good agent map pools that compliment each other.
Idk why people keep saying Fnatic spent billions to buy a whole ass roster. They bought two high-calibre players. I can guarantee you TL, Sen, NRG, C9 (when they bought yay), probably even KOI paid way more for their rosters when franchising was announced.
If any org broke the bank to buy players for each role, it was SEN, they just failed horribly at making them into a good team.
