Is the matchup correct? These 2 teams are in the same group during group stage.
Very nice matchup. Both teams have looked solid and at top form. ASE has seem dramatic leaps in terms of ability, and I think that both that and their form combined will prove to be a driving force in this series against TE. However! We must consider the fact that TE has players like FengF and Kai, who can pocket the Bilibili (they don't game anymore) and perform at very high levels.
Despite all of that, I still think that ASE will see this one through, as what they've shown me in their previous matches imo impresses me much more than TE's wins against a weaker RNG and the sick man of CN Valorant.
2-1 ASE winner winner chicken dinner.
It's a term we use over here to (usually) describe a great country with a failing economy. I compare BLG to a sick man because that's how I see them right now: a team that is on paper, very strong, and has achieved many great things (4-0 NRG). However, these past few tournaments have proven that they can no longer consistently challenge like they used to. Unless they get their form together or smth, I doubt we'll be seeing them in the next Champions or maybe even Masters.
Based.
(Felt kinda awkward to just talk about BLG here but ig we just need more time to get used to TE and RA like what we did to EDG and BLG.)
No inside info but I think they changed their roster to deal with Yosemite's issues and got no time for scrims under the current lineup after the champs, maybe in Act 3 they will be back. Imo, BLG was the only team that surprised us on the world stage (The first half of Lotus against DRX, and the second half as well xd). Few expected ASE&FPX to stand out and EDG was more like overcoming their 1st-win-nightmare to become what they should be.
Hope they solve their problems soon. BLG seems to enjoy in-game trading coz Rin and Biank are fabulous on clutches. Maybe they should practice their diving skills and corporations more often or wait for Yosemite to do his magic on the other side. On split, they put Yosemite on Viper(always) and Knight on Cypher. The combination is so passive that no wonder they got shit on by EDG and TE on offense.
This settles it for me. Both teams played excellent Valorant, but ASE just didn't do enough to win the series. Life played to standards but YOU just outperformed my expectations tenfold today. On the first two maps, he had excellent utility use and on the last map, he just made me speechless. I almost bombed my biology exam thinking about it lol.
From now on I expect seriously great things from TE. I expect them to make a deep run next act and aim for top 4. ASE still stands in my eyes as a top Chinese team and I don't see it changing despite the loss today.

mine legit would have been perfect if I didnt get the first ecounters between fpx v ase and blg v trace the wrong way round.
ASE wins if TE first ban breeze, could be a close one.
Analysis:
ig ASE will ban Sunset no matter wat.
Usually TE will ban breeze.
Overall banpick for TE: Ascent&Lotus>Bind>Haven, split is their secret weapon(their 1st ban is split in 10.20, but 4 days later against the same team BLG it's a 13:4)
ASE r more flexible on these maps that they would ban Lotus against RA and Bind against Tyloo, maps that opponents r good at in second round(or I just can't find patterns like TE). As a ordinary viewer I can understand the strengths of ASE on Bind/Lotus/Haven against TE, we will see.
To me it seems like they r confident in those five maps except breeze, which is reasonable.
-- Sentinal r not regular picks in breeze, bad for Yuicaw; Life is questionable on Yoru and neon; last time the best CN KayO(IMO) was playing viper and Yuicaw was playing gekko, I guess they were slaughtered by EDG and copied their roster-- IMO the major reason EDG uses gekko instead of KayO is the same as why they seldomly play Ascent after KayO became a regular pick-- They just can't do KayO! Those two ascent games at champs r the most painful ones when Ethan and Saadhak just owns them...
Anyway, won't be surprised if TE does carry out Breeze and gets a win, but overall a 2-1 for ASE.
