Sources: Shalaby to replace JESMUND on Team Vitality

The French organization Team Vitality Team Vitality Europe Rank #1 trexx Nikita Cherednichenko Derke Nikita Sirmitev Kicks Kimmie Laasner Sayf Saif Jibraeel Less Felipe de Loyola Basso are set to part with the Finnish Jesse "JESMUND" Terävä, sources close to the situation tell VLR.gg. He is expected to be replaced by the Egyptian Mohamed "Shalaby" Shalaby for the final stage of the Valorant Champions Tour.

Announced alongside LoWkii, JESMUND arrived in the first roster overhaul for Vitality, following the benching of Ouali "M4CHINA" Manset and Lukas "feqew" Petrauskas.

With JESMUND, the new-look roster kicked off Stage 3 with an early exit in the stage's first Challengers, despite receiving an invite to the event's closed qualifier. Domestically, the team saw modest success in the Open Tour France, qualifying for the LAN Final of the circuit, however were eliminated in the Spring qualifier by the likes of Megastitut and EXCEL.

Anubis Gaming Anubis Gaming Inactive is among one of the top teams in the MENA region, recently placing second in the Strike Arabia Championship's Levant and Egypt division. The team's duelist, Shalaby, has maintained a strong damage output for the roster, currently fielding the highest all-time ACS and ADR in the MENA region.

Shalaby and co. are currently competing in Spain for the Red Bull Campus Clutch world finals. Should the deal go through, it will be one of the Egyptian's last events with Anubis Gaming, before he embarks to help in Vitality's last attempt to reach Masters 3 in Berlin.

Additionally, should the deal come to fruition, he will reunite with his former Anubis coach Ahmed "ZE1SH" El Sheikh, who — sources tell VLR.gg — is currently on trial as an assistant coach alongside Arthur "pm" Guillermet.

Tbh good for him and for the MENA scene, bro there is no Egyptian or any MENA pro competing in NA or EU ??? Ofcourse there is Alot of Arabs but has another nationality and they lived and played there all of their lives like Subroza and ScreaM also Sayf and Yacine (Guild) and many more but all of these guys play under their second nationality for obvious reasons ofcourse (taxes,sponsors,contracts,traveling etc) but Shalaby is the first one(that i know of) that will play under Egypt 🇪🇬 and i love it ❤️❤️ Hope that boy pop the f off and change Vitality completely!

I think this makes sense, Vitality has had a problem of not having a proper duelist for this entire time since Masters 2 qualifiers. First it was bramz, then they passed the baton to vakk. Now it seems Shalahabibi will be the dedicated duelist, while vakk and bramz will switch to their preferred roles.

It is a bit concerning for me though that they did this roster move shortly before Challengers 2 qualifiers, while Shalaby was playing the LAN in Madrid. Makes me wonder how much actual pracc did they have with this new roster, cuz if Vitality fuck up in 2 weeks, that's it - they out for a long time.

shalaby has not only been performing good on MENA and redbull , he's been a very high rated pugstar and top 100 radiant ans lesser on most previous acts since beta, the move was expected and im proud to see a fellow egyptian go global and cant wait to see him in his first official

I think you're forgetting about avez, he's an insane jett player whos always in and around the radiant top 50, who wasn't playing for anubis because you can't really sub shalaby out. I think he can slot in well for them
