Is this the end of Valorant?
bonkashi [#3]nah
val will always be popular and if not more than cs because of how much easier it is mechanically making it easier to get into, and more popular with casual players
As someone that mainly plays valorant for the last couple of years, I can confidently tell you that on a global scale counter strike is definitely more popular than valorant. There are at least 300k more daily active users in CS compared to Valorant (albeit, this difference has been reduced in the last year or so, it used to be larger in favor of CS)
Daniveus [#2]it's just the beta, only players with prime and rank allowed
so no new players yet
I have prime so can I play it now?
ryluZZkiNNg0 [#8]iam so happy, NEVER to meet so many dogshit players in valorant HAHAHAHA
cheater shit fan lol

just objectively false, valorant both has more casual players globally, a relatively similar viewed esports scene, and a much better competitive esports scene global wise with each region being good. Valorant 1000% has more players than CS though, ur smoking if u think otherwise. Valorant is definitely more popular than CSGO globally as well. Its LITERALLY only prevalent in Europe. every other region has way more VAL prevalence
It has more overall media presence on every social media and more active players
Not too sure where this confidence is from, but the EU flag checks out i guess

Bro is still using the pre-China numbers...

Valorant literally has had less unique players per month than cs,what makes u think its played more, maybe ur the one under estimating cs

There have been NO official stats from Riot games on Valorant's monthly active players, or even its average concurrent players, which is an important stat as well. Also, it is very popular in china with its recent release, which definitely added a good amount of players.
This argument is just pointless because of a lack of stats from Riot's side, but even with guesstimation, just from the social media presences alone of each game and the viewerships its pretty clear valorant is more global.
Sure, CSGO might be exponentially more played in EU , val has way more asian players tho. and NA players
also im not trying to underestimate CSGO, its a very important esport that shaped esports in general

Even if the estimate is off by millions it still doesnt rival cs,and wiewership is only clear in streams,cs has never been a casual content game with mainstream clout so ofcourse val is better at that, but in esports cs is still getting better wiews
aaaa420 [#18]Cheater shit,smartest french insult
austria, do any of your players in csgo or valorant have any success?
capital_d_colon [#4]It's not out.
also probably needs a new anticheat or atleast make a big post about how its been upgraded. It also will not kill valorant. Valorant has been out for too long and has carved its corner in the market. Only way valorant dies is if it kills itself.
However new inferno looks crazy
its literally out wym
Choconaniyay [#23]its literally out wym
Its still rolling out invites for the beta.
my ass is not in and i meet all the requirements.
FDWC- [#26]ITS NOT OUT YET

Ok if we are talking about the esports scene then valorant rivals cs in viewership. This years champs grand final had over 1million people watching from china alone + 1.3 million from twitch youtube and kick which is more than csgo as they had 1.6 from twitch youtube and kick but from china it's way less than a million.
You also talked about that cs is not a casual game which is a fair point but why would that even matter. If I use your same logic then I coudl say valorant has only been out for 3 years so the player base is more casual so it doesn't have as many viewers.
azureblade101 [#21]austria, do any of your players in csgo or valorant have any success?
get his ass

just objectively false
You're confused on what objectively means. You're describing simply subjective opinions. The reality is that you can track active players without official numbers, it's not rocket science (Riot offers many public APIs that enable this tracking). CS:GO currently has on average 300k more active players per day than Valorant, it's a simple objective fact that you have a hard time comprehending, this doesn't make CS better than Valorant or vice-versa, it just defines its popularity (which may change in the future or not).
There seems to be no point in discussing things with you, since you're hell bent on ignoring simple facts.
Cheers
MaTrix96 [#36]Just played it awhile ago and I quit after 3 rounds lmao. Val is just so smooth I can't even explain.
u should try 1.6 its smooth af

I'm not describing anything subjective, valorant objectively has more social media influence, more average views on vids, and more average viewers on livestreams.
Also, you cannot track active players without official numbers lol. Unless you can link me to a comprehensive source that shows its use of Riot API's to accurately count every regions players, in cluding chinas, and then also demonstrates the average concurrent players per month, and also the number of active players per month, then I'd concede to you. But you haven't, you just spoke words lol
and either way, you're still literally wrong when it comes to valorant being less globally popular
even IF csgo has more players per month, those are literally all european players. more than 40% of its playerbase is European. not at all comparable to valorant, who's playerbase is much well mixed across the globe
