People talk about how he was so good relative to the level of play but forget that he was playing when jett and reyna were turbo busted and strong agents in other roles were yet to be released. His acs that tournement will never be matched but if duelists were that broken on this patch we would see players like demon1 would top that acs.

Tenz said he enjoy new jett nerfs but he only performed with most broken version of jett. His stats early were : on broken agent ever and againts noobs

as a context, usually people consider prime tenz as the best in terms of aiming. You can see it from his deathmatch history, there is a reason why he always top fragging in deathmatch consistently.

I don't think the point is that "tenz wasn't good".
It's more the fact it's unrealistic to compare current performances to the ones back in 2021.

Tenz was certainly a level above the competition in 2021, it was evident during Masters Reykjavik.

However the game has progressed so much fundamentally, strategically and riot has stripped away a lot of power from agents utility.
It's just a bit silly to compare the acs numbers back then to the ones now.

Also, a bunch of agents were broken back then (ie. Breach & skye both had 3 flashes with having an insanely low pop time)

Sure, he used good agents but he was still going up against other good agents too

Yes. Like i said. Tenz in 2021 was still a lot better than his competition.
His performances showed how far ahead he was mechanically and in his understanding.

Agents in 2023 are a lot more restrictive in what they can do and what they provide.
Team structure and ideas have progressed with protocols in place to deny the opposition going nuclear.
It's just not a fair comparison to compare statistical numbers from 2021 to 2023.

Idk why this is still being argued. Both sides are saying the ACS stat will likely never be beaten, but arriving to that conclusion from seperate ways and repeating the same thing over and over?

that wasn't the reason buddy. Everybody else had the same toolkit and agents to work with but only tenz could put up those crazy numbers. It was not an issue of busted agents but more so the fact that aim was more important then strategy and game sense back in early 2021. Sentinels didn't even have a coach
