franchised should be 20 teams per league with relegation and promotion
makes the season a lot longer and has more slots
maybe 20 is too much but make it like 18

premier league has no playoffs for one
20 teams not enough, and then every single other team basically just rots in T2? agree there should relegation but at least teams can be removed in 2027

no every other team fights for promotion.
in current system only 1 team for full year of play, but in this system 3 or maybe even more could get promoted per season
way easier
it could also fit in with premier in game where u could eventually get promoted into t1

yes every team fights for promotion, and 3/300 teams get promoted every year, whats the point of staying in the scene?
it should be 25 with 5 relegated 5 promotoed
2 gain auto promotion and ournament in t2 for rest 3 slots
3 mid season tournaments with one being champs so you have 4 t1 trophies a year with two being majors (league, champions)
should be 4 tiers aswell just have an extensive qualification
also 35 teams in t2 and more matches than t1
salary cap and contract cap for t1 and standardize contracts so that all clauses and contract stipulations are uniform throughout the whole league allow trades mid season and free agency after champs

no 3 out of around 20 teams per season
could even make it 5 relegations per season for 25%

Relegation is so incredibly stupid for a partnership system. The point is league stability not having every team be good. Its impossible for every team to be good there are always gonna be bad teams. Relegation would be especially bad in Pacific where individual country representation is super important. If Team Secret got relegated and Bleed got promoted, the Philippines would have 0 representation, which would hurt viewership.
Frankly The Guard is a bad org for partnership, they just fired like all of their staff and are monetarily in a really bad spot. They will likely crash at some point, and if they were a permanent spot in the league, that would be really bad. How would you handle that? in eSports stability is way way more important since there is less money in it
The_Cleg [#12]20 teams is crazy
I think the leagues are gonna max at like 16 or something with ascension slots.

espprts fans sound so naive sometimes, the reason why the english leagues are able to run with so many leagues and tiers because they actually turn a profit, riot on the other hand is running valorant esports at a loss. how do you think what youre mentioning is even remotely possible?

retarded man learns that running a football league costs more than running a esports league
don't speak to me again if you are actually a sub-human thanks
Assuming 20 teams in each league, that means all teams that participated in this year's Ascension will join the league, correct?
To be clear, I don't think Dplus, Orangutan, ONE TEAM, etc. should be able to compete in one of the best leagues in the world this year. It will only lead to a lower level.

I think they are gonna be max 12 since no matter what teams to after 2 years they are back to t2

After 2026, two teams will make it in per year until the league reaches its cap of 14 teams in 2027. I decided to look it up because I knew they were doing something weird with it. so I think its max 12 until 2026 then its max 14.
crashhacker1 [#19]There should definitely be some kind of relegation for bottom 2 teams else we will have teams like DFM or KC who dont care about improving and just coast through.
you realise riot plan on removing some franchised teams eventually in like 2026 or 2027 if they feel like they are not doing well and don't care.

its too long in esports time.

pro-rel is an option to implement in a few years but RIGHT NOW orgs need a strong financial sense of stability. Look at the A-League (Australias footballl top flight). We started off as a franchised league, pretty simmilar to VCT, but now we're starting plans to implement PRO-REL into these leagues.
But in order to do this we needed to wait for:
T2 clubs to be financially stable
T1 Viewership to be a majjor incentive
T1 orgs income to be both a major incentive and stable
T2 clubs to even want to go into the first division with their smaller stadiums(viewership)
Imma post what my opinion on the best possible VCT option is in forums
