im too much of an addict to quit this site for good and im on my summer break so no more weird posts from my friends so why not come back at least for a while.
some things Ive missed over these past few months, takes, and insights for the future:
- RIP Twisten, he will be missed :(
- Liquid are looking good aside from Fracture against EG and that Haven map against NRG. There are some issues that need to be cleaned up but I think they can make top 4 or even top 3 at champs
- NaVi are not a bad team, but right now the meta does not favor them especially on maps like Lotus. That and running comps that do not play into their player's strengths will ultimately cost them the LCQ (sorry Yessirskii).
- KRU look incredible atm and even tho they arent gna win this LCQ Ive got no doubt in my mind that if they keep up this form they can easily make Masters or Champs in 2024
- LOUD's Masters result was almost entirely due to the stupid Neon comps they ran imo and they will prove themselves again at Champions. DRX will also show improvement but will ultimately end up going 5-6th
- BLEED, Gentle Mates, and The Guard all deserved to ascend to franchise and i expect them all to play well within their respective leagues. One player i'd like to highlight would be nataNk from Gentle Mates. He really impressed me with his entries and was instrumental to M8's win imo.
- Falcons performed better than at previous Ascension type events but they still have a long way to go before becoming contenders. alvar needs to be way more disciplined than what he showed at this event.
- MiBR and DFM need to rebuild ASAP
- All regions are pretty close rn but region ranking based on average team performance is as follows Americas>=Pacific>=EMEA. Sorry EMEA baiters :(
- China look promising rn, Boostio was dead wrong abt that region.
