100t are worse, navi are worse, drx had a dropoff from where they were at the beginning of the season. having a core is good, but not at all a deciding factor. especially when i am talking about a team like sentinels ( who are easily the most expensive roster in the entire world), and are greatly struggling to be even top 3 or top 5 in americas let alone qualify for a ln.
what it all comes down to is is having a good management, good igl, good structure , a plan. not making a team based on a whim and then start firing everyone left and right as they fail
Of course having a core isn't going to guarantee you would be good, i never claimed that.
A core normally allows you to more easily introduce players into an already built system.
Sentinels are not you average "superteam".
You had an igl who only called defence sides during his peak and a player who struggled with english.
Couple that with a meta change which created role issues in the team.
Sentinels was always supposed to be a long term project.
Though I agree, it may never reach its potential due to some management decisions.
