Duelist
- Derke: no explanation needed
- Zmjjkk: one of if not the reason EDG were able to get as far as they did
- Jinggg: stepped up to fill the gap that Something left and carried PRX through many rounds
HM: Demon1: Looked a bit shaky at times which may have just been a lack of international experience
Initiator:
- Leo: what a surprise
- Ethan: the veteran experience he brought to EG really helped their run succeed. He can also turn up when the team needs him most
- Com/Davai: both are solid at their roles, have great team play, and improved massively throughout the season. Unfortunately neither could turn up when it really mattered.
Controller:
- Som: the firepower he brings to NRG is exactly what the team needs and has saved them multiple times
- Mako: although he had a below average performance this tourney, he continues to be one of DRX’s most valuable players
- Boaster: ngl I don’t think anyone really deserves this spot since the tourney didn’t really showcase any insane controller players. It doesn’t help that 4/5 EG members play smokes on at least one map, PRX mindfreak had an average showing, and most of the other teams’ controllers are their IGLs. Since fnatic won ig Boaster gets it for now
Sentinel:
- Alfajer: he went crazy
- Nats: consistently one of TL’s strongest players alongside Sayf
- Boostio: I know he splits sentinel/controller but he deserves a spot for leading EG’s insane run. Plus his aim as an igl is very solid
Flex:
- Chronicle: GOAT
- Forsaken: his insane showing as a flex player in the regular season translated in Tokyo as well. He picked up the Jett in place of Something as well as continuing to play the Harbor and Cypher.
- Rb: strongest DRX player this tourney, too bad his team couldn’t turn up also
Edit: com/davai > crashies , forsaken > victor
