Biggest falloffs post LOCK//IN

1. Talon Esports

Almost everyone and their pets had Talon going to Masters, especially after their impressive showing at LOCK//IN. What happened in VCT Pacific : finished 9th with a 3-6 record. Pretty sure most people didn't expect that.

2. Natus Vincere

Let's be real, we had very high expectations from this team. Hell, many of us even thought they were contenders. Finished top 4 at LOCK//IN, 2nd in the EMEA League stage, everything was set. Then the cracks started to show, and they have not been the same since. They've been trolling their agent comps, their strats, ANGE1 can't shoot... You name it. And now, they've been knocked out of Masters in the group stage itself. It was really FNATIC winning LOCK//IN that saved them from not going to Tokyo.

3. DRX

Don't get me wrong, DRX are still a decent team. However recently they've kinda lacked the punch that they had all this time. Performed great in VCT Pacific but lost to their rivals PRX in an ugly reverse sweep. Now they're staring at potential elimination from Masters. Really just bring Zest at this point.

DRX should kick stax

Gen.G weren't really a strong looking team tbh
They just played easier opponents at the start, and once they started coming to harder ones it was all over. RRQ deserved playoffs more than them

NAVI has the talent they just need to run real comps heading into LCQ. I mean you have arguably some of the best players in the world on roles that make 0 sense. I think in season they got to cocky running the table with off meta comps they thought they could do it again

They got there in a very, very unconvincing fashion. Mfs almost lost to EDG bro, they could've been out in the first round itself lol
The FUT game too wasn't any better, and they just narrowly scraped past.
Against FNATIC, who were a contender, they clearly showed that they're not that good.

Cause they didn't get worse or play worse from when they were in lockin. They beat FUT who are much better than they were in lockin and EDG who while they are a good team, they're best result is against a NAVI whose role issues are fixable in agent select and a IGL that is hellbent on playing yoru comps and doesn't have any actual good reads.

i would imagine if the player and the team mutually agree to part ways (yay), then yes. If straight up kick, then i would imagine the org has to pay a compensation fee for the contract

both i think. Talon was straight up trolling, NAVI doesn't look as strong+ weird roles for, we can agree, top, world class player. DRX, well i've been saying this, I love their ideas and executes, I completely hate the way they midround.
