it's also vlr, where people overreact because of one loss. some of them don't have brain cells

posted 2 months ago

a lot of experience trolling in both you mean? their bind atk side looks uncoordinated, def is fine, but ascent is a "don't get me started on that" load of rubbish

posted 2 months ago

personally i disagree with the tenz's take on putting him back on perma flash initiator. tenz is still one of the most mechanically gifted player itw. I don't want him stuck perma on setting up his team, instead of him second entry in and having zellsis/sacy be the support. Omen is such a perfect agent for him to play. i do agree that his agent pool needs to be improve, or improving his current agents

posted 2 months ago

what was their option? bind or ascent? both have looked shite? both that have tape on?

posted 2 months ago

it's bad rng striking cuz i thought his crosshair was on woot

posted 2 months ago

we haven't seen it, so we'll see. i actually wouldn't be surprised if they ban it just because drx has looked incredible on that map and let ascent through since that map is easier to improvise

posted 3 months ago

teams from the same group can't be on the same side of the bracket, so lev got moved down cuz trace was on that side already

posted 3 months ago

somewhat, i do fear sen will have something prepared on abyss since they are willing to let it go through

posted 3 months ago

it's the better side be happy. also if they can't beat them, don't deserve to win

posted 3 months ago

can't be on the same side of the bracket as trace

posted 3 months ago

oh shit TH fnc yeah tough luck

posted 3 months ago

im taking drx/trace side anyday

posted 3 months ago

same group can't be on the same side of the bracket

posted 3 months ago

there will be at least one regional matchups since there're 3 americas teams. the only rule i think is to not be in the same group (sorry not a guaranteed thing, but regional matchups is allowed)

posted 3 months ago

cough they kicked their best player last year for keiko cough sorry about that

posted 3 months ago

that's like 5-10% of the player base though.

posted 3 months ago

probably because this year hasn't had many storylines like last year. the rise villain arc of EG, the dominance of Fnatic, the new and more exciting version of PRX, the up and down year from LOUD, even the rise of EDG and kangkang. the crumbling of the former optic core, the group of death/disappointment. not much storylines happen this year compare to last year

posted 3 months ago

goated merchants then

posted 3 months ago

no. next

posted 3 months ago

lol like they're gonna kick anyone from this roster

posted 3 months ago

that's not entirely true. if g2 lose, it's kru vs c9 because kru would have a better map count than g2. if sen lose, it's sen vs c9

edit: sorry, if sen lose 2-0 with a total round count of the game being -7 or worse, it's kru vs c9, since sen and kru would have the same map count, with kru having the better round count

posted 4 months ago

watch trace don't even win their game so DRG would be out

posted 4 months ago

jesus christ i don't think i've ever seen a 100% kast. i've seen 90%+, but not 100%

posted 4 months ago

no they don't. they just avoid the single elim round.

posted 4 months ago

there's points for wins, just vlr doesn't update them
go to liquipedia for the points standing

posted 4 months ago

i completely get that and understand that, if this was march. sure you could say they wouldn't get far in playoff, but they needed to get there first? changing your style of play isn't a mid-season thing, it should be a whole season type of thing. too late to try something new for the first time in 2-3years

posted 4 months ago

so for Gen.G to officially qualify, they just need to beat RRQ

posted 4 months ago

i personally don't think it's reasonable to abandon their renowned playstyle, to try something new at this point of the season. sure i can understand and accept if it was split 1 and they wanted to try stuff out

posted 4 months ago

so pretty hard then

posted 4 months ago

trust me it would look a lot closer than what they did. the amount of times they had to face check angles on defense because they don't have info is horrible to watch

posted 4 months ago

no no no not scream on flash initiator not again no way

posted 4 months ago

i get the meta is favoured towards aggressive duelists but that doesn't mean they HAVE to play a completely different style of valorant compare to what they know. like the g2 game, i actually think it would have been A LOT closer if they played a normal-ish comp, instead of the yoru deadlock fade clove comp that is just lacking SO MUCH info, instead of the 2021 bind comp meta, that again, lacking SO MUCH info

posted 4 months ago

i get what you mean, but more in-depth statistics wise, 1v1 vs the igls:
-1 vs johnqt
0 vs valyn
-10 vs Melser
-5 vs vanity

he's actually struggled more individually vs igls on the worse teams.

i know these stats obviously doesn't count towards anything but it is interesting to see

look at the comp and tell me what is nrg's main strength that WE all know is, vs the comps that they played (especially vs g2). If there's one thing we know about nrg's style and fns' style, is the slow, methodical mid-rounding masterclass. look at the comps they played vs g2, what does those comps tell you? fast-paced hit, with a lack of mid-round info gathering potential, which AREN'T their thing. Look at their ascent, as soon as they play a normal comp, they DOMINATE.

also this roster, while we're seeing the same name on the sheet, let's be honest, hasn't had the time to adapt to each other yet. also at this critical point of the season, with champions qualification on the line, experimenting and new comp doesn't sound wise.

posted 4 months ago

i mean the game is not really about 1 player vs another player, it's a 5v5 game. the reason why they lost vs sen and g2 is because they played those weird comps that doesn't play to their strength, not really because fns is being outfragged by the other igl

posted 4 months ago

hmm, not really the case, since 100t has an advantage regarding champs points, they're not necessary out of contention even if they lose.
ironically, sentinels can help them even if 100t lose today

posted 4 months ago

winner goes to playoffs, loser out

posted 4 months ago

i think there's like two sections of 100t's critics, one is they completely hyped them up WAY TOO MUCH, and one is MASSIVELY underrating them. 100t to me is a very high ceiling team, but also have a lower floor than teams like SEN. At their best, they ARE one of the best teams itw, with Cryo leading the charge as that hypercarry, with asuna bang and eeiu as the supporting cast, great igl in Boostio and a world champion coach. on their day, which is like 70% of the time, i think they can beat anyone itw. It's that inconsistency that has plagued this org for the last 3 years that makes people doubt them. I don't blame you for doubting, but a normal 100t team currently is at least top3 for me, i would put them 2 behind sen

posted 4 months ago

i dont see it, especially when looking at the map pool. DRX ban according to team, while RRQ ban Bind as the insta

posted 4 months ago

if they lose, they don't deserve it, plain and simple. my point is NRG are playing at a (somewhat) level playing field here. Before the split, they were 5th-7th range, playoff range

posted 4 months ago

out of everyone there, ethan has been the best at his role. i'm not kicking a (i still think) world class support player because those are hard to find

posted 4 months ago

NRG does have some room, they were 3-3 before this split, the same as SEN and G2

posted 4 months ago

it's 2 OTs, khalil and nzr went insane

posted 4 months ago

lev kru and c9 are 5-1 current;y, sen is 4-3, then it's g2, 100t and EG at 3-3, nrg at 3-4. So EG is currently at the 5th-7th range, with a worse map count than G2 and 100t

posted 4 months ago

emergency sub. aproto had a health scare and sherb subbed in mid-map. he said he's ok. i would assume he will play the next game

posted 5 months ago

I love prx, i'm not putting a team that hasn't won anything internationally in the top 5

posted 5 months ago

i think he's improved so much compared to last year as well. his midrounding was the main reason why people was critical of him last year, this year he has been so much better with it

posted 5 months ago

I think run it back with the same roster, but change the coaching staff. I would love to see mini back as head coach. Elma’s tactics and conditioning for this team I think has been poor, especially on lotus today against a bad comp. Beside this, I don’t see an upgrade in emea, tier 1/tier 2, for this roster

posted 5 months ago

honestly that was such a stomp, i think it could get even worse

posted 5 months ago

it's their best map by a mile
