It's like #3 said, being mentally ill obviously isn't an excuse for comitting a crime, and what he's saying is completely out of reason, but it doesn't change the fact he needs medical help, in an ideal system I think he should both be arrested and receive help, but it's not usually like that

Everyone is saying that he needs help like he can't get it. I'm pretty sure he has all the money that he needs for that. I know it is not easy to seek for help when mentally ill but he is literally threatening someone so I have no empathy for him.
