All EU related masters tournaments(including EMEA) and qualifiers had single bracket format(i.e. no loser's bracket), unlike NA which had double bracket format. Arguably, if EU had double bracket format, we might have seen a different team in Reykjavik instead of Liquid, whose run through EU qualifiers for EMEA do resemble a fluke.

redgar and ange1 both play smokes and are both EU, shahzam plays jett/sova so he is not a good example for a replacement for redgar
