I have never watched a single anime but I want to give it a try. Should I stay anime-virgin or should I lose it? Always thought only kids watch these animated stuff lol
Edit: Any recommendations for first time watchers?

doesnt really matter what u watch, just watch things that you think look interesting and don't watch them if they arent
It’s up to you but there’s no reason not to just because of what other people think or say. There could be something great you could like so why deprive yourself of that experience :)
Just don't become an anime degen.
Anime took over one of my friend's life and he watches animes with only girls with shit plot + romance.
Instead, watch some action or thriller animes.
I recommend you watch: Shiki, World Trigger, Inuyashiki
My friend also has a shaggy: https://imgur.com/a/lI3N939
acels2 [#8]breaking bad better
Breaking bad has a better start and is overall more interesting premise. Imo bcs has the best ending in a tv show and has some of the best character moments in tv.
It moreso depends on if the actual anime is worth watching rather than anime as a whole
I like a lot of them but also not that many others
Also, there are a lot that aren’t for kids. Something like Cowboy Bebop might be a good introduction
go watch it, as long as you don't become a down bad ass stinky weeb with body pillows and shit ur good
The filler content is tough to get used to. I got bored and kinda just stopped watching. idk I know nothing about anime.
emirerays [#18]Is avatar the last airbender a anime ?
do they speak japanese?
FDWC- [#20]do they speak japanese?
They dont have to speak japanese just drawing needs to be the same bro. That's the only thing that seperates anime from cartoon. You can put japanese dub on the show.
ash_knuckles [#24]why are the cs boomers fighting
You told me yekindar would cook. He didn’t cook. You cant fool me anymore, I’m familiar with his game

Nah that’s not how it works lmao
imo movies are underrated as a starter anime. Watch A Silent Voice or Your Name
Yes. But stay away from isekai and animes that forces too much ecchi
Start with something like bleach, naruto, fullmetal alchemist or hunter x hunter. Fun animes with great battles and great characters.
Start off with:
gamr [#27]Nah that’s not how it works lmao
how does it work ? Only thing that different is drawing.
gamr [#26]You told me yekindar would cook. He didn’t cook. You cant fool me anymore, I’m familiar with his game
idk anymore man. like WHY DOES LIQUID KEEP DOING THIS MANNNN. oSee GodSee one map, noSee the next 5, everyone else washed, nitr0 bot caller. Like FUCK MAN yekindar said they were back to prime form n shit. Absolute fucking lie 💀
LyCan52 [#23]watch this anime type thing hentai before watching anime ☺️
then watch death note and demon slayer (it's animation is good and not that big as well)
once u done with these devotee ur life to one piece
tbh is more worthy spending your time watching good cinema, but it's fair and funny watch anime
watch actual good anime like death note, attack on titan etc.. DO NOT watch these dogshit ecchi animes or isekai ones. (there is good isekai but very few)
emirerays [#32]how does it work ? Only thing that different is drawing.
Anime is a cartoon created in Japan using the Japanese language. Avatar is just a cartoon.
Anime is a pretty diverse medium so you can for sure find stuff you like. What anime it’s best to start with depends on your tastes, but you can never go wrong with stuff like Attack on titan or Death note.

family guy clears all anime
Psycho-pass if you want a psychological thriller cop drama set in a dystopian society
Blue-lock if you want something that makes you wanna play valorant
Demon slayer if you want nothing too deep, just a well-made action story that's beautifully animated with amazing fight scenes.
Baki if you want to replace all blood in your body with pure testosterone.
Cyberpunk edgerunners if you want something in english that takes place in the world of cyberpunk 2077
Hunter x Hunter for a well-made action-adventure that subverts many of the things we expect to see from a story like it.
Vinland saga if you think you can appreciate a masterpiece
If you've ever wanted a show taking place inside the backrooms, then watch sonny boy. (might feel too psychadelic for first time anime watchers)
Legend of the Galactic heroes if you want a geo-political odyssey exploring clashes of ideologies and nuanced, guilt-driven main characters.
watch some fun classic animes, or some anime with story. I've stopped watching anime and reading manga.
Some recommendations esp in terms of story and a satisfying ending or a story that progresses decently (not in order):

I thought the difference was the drawing. I guess ı am wrong.
no, realistically, its a waste of time. think to yourself, am i spending this time in the best way possible? no? theres ur answer
No, its so sloww and boring and wayy too much hindsite but actually frontsite harrys who keep talking and talking about whats going to happen and it just becomes a resident sleeper
BoF7ooM [#43]watch some fun classic animes, or some anime with story. I've stopped watching anime and reading manga.
Some recommendations esp in terms of story and a satisfying ending or a story that progresses decently (not in order):
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- Jojos bizzare adventure (the later parts have really good continuity and development in general, part 7 and 8 are really really good)
- Aot
- Gintama (very ligth hearted, and almost peak comedy in anime imo)
Also deathnote/evangelion are good very good. Grand Blue, konosuba for funnies.
Dont fall for stupid seasonal anime traps like Spy Family, dressup darling and those waifu targeted degenerate shit, they are a genuine waste of time, shallow.
Spyxfamily is such a fucking disappointment. so much to be explored with the concept, shit just falls flat. Fucking shame
h786 [#47]no, realistically, its a waste of time. think to yourself, am i spending this time in the best way possible? no? theres ur answer
this mindset is how winners and discipline is created. ask anyone in your family, who has achieved something , show them this comment, they will agree.

Why are you on here? It’s a waste of time, no? 🗿🗿🗿🗿

no like don't post at all
ash_knuckles [#57]no like don't post at all
that is the goal, eventually. its absolutely correct, no joke, slowly slowly, like a converging graph

thats what the addicts always say.
discipline requires more than just slow, comfortable changes of habits.
PoonRaccoon [#41]I have never been fan of anime aswell, my friend however, is a weeb. He suggested me "Death Note". I liked it tbh, its really good. Now I'm watching Demon slayer, which isn't as good as death note and is way too emotional for my INTP ass, but now that i've started it, i'll finish it, its not bad.
If you're looking for a show centered on psychological warfare, following an intelligent main character: I recommend Classroom of the Elite. he premise and setting are kind of ridiculous, but besides that, the show is very good and creative.
Additionally, you might like Code Geass but that one, while still a psychological thriller, is more focused on politics, following a group of terrorists in a Japan that's been colonized by alternate universe Britain. The MC is someone that obtains the power to command anyone he sees to do whatever he wants only once.
Nachtel [#60]thats what the addicts always say.

You’ve beat me, i will do it inshaAllah

family guy? the show with no jokes just pure shock value moments?
