is v1 the better team or is tl jus underperforming?
PoohShiesty [#2]Don't worry, V1 will throw again.
often happens to teams that realize they are about to upset another team Sadge (hopefully not)
Shanty [#14]There is a universe out there where V1 2-0 Liquid. But holy fuck, what a series. GG liquid fans. This has been great no matter the winner.
true
xaboff [#13]v1 are overperforming, but the big factor everyone is overlooking is that immi and vanity did a fantastic job antistratting liquid, which obviously liquid didn't have the opportunity to do
Even as a V1 fan. At what point do we stop saying they are over preforming and this is just how good they are? Cause people were saying the same thing in Challengers when they qualified.
They absolutely would have looked into V1. They had time. Wtf were they doing during the entire week of quarantine if they were looking at the V1 and CR, their literal first matchup of the tournament that they’ve known for some time. If anything, V1 had less time to counter-strate Liquid as they first needed to get by CR.

factual
ShiningTyGuy [#17]Soo many people hate on V1 just cuz they were a new team and a new org and they took 1 of NA spots. People fail to realize they have really good players, most from tier 2 csgo just waiting for an opportunity to break through to tier 1. They weren't just nobodies with no skill
V1 earned their spot but wow they're really proving themselves as a good team (not saying they're a bad team) but i'm impressed

I'm a v1 fan too (4th fav team, liquid is 2nd), and I didn't mean this in any dishonoring way..I acknowledge they are very much a top team since the challengers, but you can't discard the fact they are overperforming (just a little bit, but they are) considering they have a stand-in. if they were with wippie and the game would be the same I would with no shame said, that this is just how good they are, but the fact that liquid had no demos to prepare off of surely plays a significant role
reply to ur edit: quarantine or not, how do you prepare for a team that you have never seen play in this composition? it's simply impossible, and 1 single map to prepare off, and have less than 24 hours to do that doesn't help too much
var1ance [#21]V1 earned their spot but wow they're really proving themselves as a good team (not saying they're a bad team) but i'm impressed
100% impressed myself. I figured they would put up a hell of a fight (due to having overall very solid players) or just not have a good time due to being so new and playing with a sub

Sorry, but I fail to see where you are coming from with the no demos parts. They had all the challenger demos, they had the V1 vs CR demo from yesterday.
Edit: All good though, different opinions on the subject is no biggie. It’s been fun to watch at least.

hopefully this last map is good

I agree with you about liquid having more time, but they could just be another LG, and are really fucking good for only a short period of time

what I mean with the no demos part, is specifically demos with jammyz, which is literally two maps, one of which is tl's permaban

That’s fair. Personally don’t know how much that would effect it since from the interviews with V1 it sounded like they have to go back to more basic plays than they were planning. But I could see your point.
w1nT3r [#26]Why tf is it them overperforming. How bout they are just a good team?
Hahah get fucked, yall mad
var1ance [#36]u think they gonna win in the lowers or nah?
prolly get to lower finals. I think Fnatic the stronger of the 2. But we'll see...I had them taking it all over vikings in my pick ems due to everyone saying they really evolved over the months
