Jano0310 [#4]I think 3 from China is too much
2 CN + 1CN LCQ, whats wrong with that? If FNC won masters Tokyo EMEA gonna get 6 slots in champions? thats wayy to much for 1 region to have.
Warlordwibz [#7]2 CN + 1CN LCQ, whats wrong with that? If FNC won masters Tokyo EMEA gonna get 6 slots in champions? thats wayy to much for 1 region to have.
By that point just make a chinese league

It will be 5 slots not six
emirerays [#10]It will be 5 slots not six
#4 complain 3 china slots is too much, so If 2 china instead of 3:
4 EMEA, 4 Pacific, 4 Americas, 2 CN, 1 Masters = 15, needs 1 more to make 16.
If FNATIC wins Tokyo 5 EMEA (masters winner) + EMEA fans will whinge demanding the 16th spot (6th EMEA slot) )cause they win all international event in 2023 (Sao Paulo + Tokyo). This is why china needs a 3rd slot, so all regions gets similar amount of slots. Imagine qualifying to champions in bottom 5 of league (6th), not worthy.
capital_d_colon [#6]yeah makes sense.
People complaining about china having 3, where would you put the other slot?
otherwise its unbalanced, no?
emea 3+1
americas 3+1
pacific 3+1
china 2
masters winner
lockin winner
if emea team wins tokyo then they will have 6 spots for champs but they earnt it
donut2612 [#12]emea 3+1
americas 3+1
pacific 3+1
china 2
masters winner
lockin winnerif emea team wins tokyo then they will have 6 spots for champs but they earnt it
lockin winner later announced auto qualify to champions, no point of playing regular season then.

Why would you give a Team a direct spot to champs when they won a pre-season esque tournament?? Half of the lineups haven't had enough time to play together like wtf
Jano0310 [#8]By that point just make a chinese league
they are 100% working on it. expect it in 2024
diediedie [#21]china will have 5 slots, considering China's population is larger than that of Europe and the United States combined
Population is a poor measure of the player base's quality and quantity. I would say the number of immortal 3s in a server region is a better metric, since it reflects the number of higher quality casual players/wannabe pros playing the game.
Not without flaws ofc, but still a better metric that can still be looked up easily online.
Population isn't a good metric for viewership numbers as well, for that we have to rely on past LANs' viewership.

Hmm that is true but still too much for a scene that is so new. I would prefer 6 teams from any other region
