Why is their logo so bad?
Like it's a good idea, but the quality of the logo is so shitty.
It's not even vlr either because their website logo still looks bad.

There is a science behind making a logo effective, assuming effectiveness is how much it draws interest in the product. But there isn't an objective "good-looking" product that you can pronounce as good or bad, graphic designer or not 💀💀. The only thing you can do is produce something that a majority of people think looks good.

I read that you are a graphic designer up in the comments, and i think you will understand that sometimes some clients are just stubborn that want "exactly what they think its good", resulting in a deficient end product. Maybe Kameto or whoever just said "i like this and end of conversation".

Yes that is definitely a possibility, and in graphic design I understand they are working for the client.
