it's not that bad, most kids start playing tackle rugby at 6/7 yrs. Unless someone doing something illegal like a high tackle, there shouldn't really be much long term damage

You have the hard hits and fast paced action for all the meatheads, and then you have the strategy, playcalling and roster building for the nerds, the technical aspect of football is one of the most difficult to master that I've ever seen, especially for quarterbacks and cornerbacks
