Single Elim vs Double Elim

What do you guys think about double elim for the playoffs of major tournaments. Personally I think it is worse than single elim as games have less weight and it is boring to watch a non elimination match unless it is insanely hype even then cause no one gets eliminated it still isnt as exciting. But what do you guys think ?

More matches = More valorant so idc

I feel the same bro, last stage of the tourney and teams still get 2nd chances. That just feels so weird to me

way better double elim, i still have ptsd with vs facing gmb in quarters at m3

it's a more fair system. it's a must for a serious competitive tournament.
and this is coming from a LOUD fan - team that would've been been champions on 2022.1 Masters if it had single elimination

Double elim makes it so lower bracket runs can happen and makes it so if a team flukes a win over another team, they will have another chance.

I would buy single elim if Valorant didn't have an rng so high dude, teams beat each other constantly, and the truth is, 13 rounds with all the lucky factors potentiate a lot good and bad days, so double elim really makes a difference

I guess. Not necessarily the util but the fact that an rng spray can decide whether or not you win or lose a round, map or even a series is insane so i guess that is a reason to keep double elim. But I feel once this is changed maybe single elim would work cause in terms of util and that you can always see who the better team is

there's also out of game rng, like a player may be sick on one day or maybe his aim is bad and he cant hit shots on that day.

I get the ill thing but that last over time so hte team will probably lose their elim match aswell so its a bit of a non factor. and the player might not be feeling it thing is a part of competition if you cant compete on a day thats your fault and shouldnt be a reason to give you another chance

double elimination is preferable as long as they give the upper bracket team a substantial advantage in grand final
