Adding shroud for a quick fan base growth, put him in the worst role in the game, made him embarrass himself in front of 300k viewers, even made Tarik replaces shroud as the biggest watchparty channel.
SaltyMcNulty [#5]He is the one who contacted SEN first for that spot but I agree SEN shouldn't have taken the gamble since there were other tested and cracked Controller mains available.
It's ok though. With this showing, SEN have automatically sealed a spot in the franchising league. Valorant can't do without the most popular brand in their esports scene.
dexter000111 [#3]Watchu mean worst role. Controllers have been popping the fuck off this season
lol nah ur iron the guy is literally the smoker of the team / assisting teammates
valulrantefanboy [#8]Controller players usually the main clutchers in teams , he just......... bad overall
stfu you wont achieve anything near shroud had achieved in your life
kylocat [#7]lol nah ur iron the guy is literally the smoker of the team / assisting teammates
Every user on this site who uses rank as an insult is himself Bronze and below
All I meant is that his "worst role" argument is invalid bcoz a good player can hold his own even as the smoker of the team / assisting teammates
Netero [#12]Bro said worst role lol
you have to be stupid to think hes not playing the worst and hardest role in the game, and he did well

common dexter w + that was literally what shroud used to do in cs

Stop the coping bro there's no such thing as "hardest role". All roles have their own challenges (except the chamber one-tricks)
You simply can't deny the fact that SEN could have picked up any controller from the Knights Monthly and he would have done better than shroud.
However doing good was never SEN's goal, it was just a clout move which is understandable and a smart move

Any good player can put up numbers on controller, did you even watch Copenhagen or nah cuz your fav tiktok team sentinels wasn't there? Mindfreak, and Marved were owning, Ange1 had good maps. MaKo was literally carrying DRX, held back by his chamber tbh. just because NA has trash players who can't play controller doesn't mean the role is trash.

In terms of kills he did bad but do you realize the plays outside of that? Most of his kills were smart, high impact, his smokes had great timing and perfect flashes to assist TenZ & others, certainly a random guy from Knights Monthly cant do better than that

You're coping again. Literally any Knights Tourney or MCT controller would have done better.
Just to stick it in your face, here's a list of players who would have done better : Spaz, Cade3k, Ange, jcStani, jakee
However to point out again, shroud was a clout move from Sentinels which is actually a smart move

yea obviously because that is the only comment on this site that actually had brain cells processed on
quick fan base growth, sure. but you can't disregard what he's shown us in LCQ despite the time he was given to prepare after a looong hiatus from competitive gaming. in the controller role as well, which is considered the hardest role to master, not the worst. so no embarrassment at all. also, tarik surpassed shroud's watch party long ago so that aint a helpful point at all lmao

yea i was trying to say that, which explains the low numbers from shroud despite he's not playing bad
noxx [#14]common dexter w + that was literally what shroud used to do in cs
true true, this is actually the first time ive seen a competent 100T flair user
kylocat [#7]lol nah ur iron the guy is literally the smoker of the team / assisting teammates
you clearly haven't heard of Marved or Mindfreak
xddddd

Controller role isn't even that hard for average tier1 pros, perhaps even one of the easiest to put up numbers in this season. Shroud is just washed.

dont act like you could do better
kylocat [#28]dont act like you could do better
he might not be able to do better but that doesn't mean that your statement is wrong
SaltyMcNulty [#5]He is the one who contacted SEN first for that spot but I agree SEN shouldn't have taken the gamble since there were other tested and cracked Controller mains available.
how do you know he contacted sen first?
They did good to be honest. They were matched up against the 2 eventual grand finalist early on the tournament(close games as well). They would have went deep if matched with others but not win. It was shroud's choice as well. I'm pretty sure the man's just enjoying life with stacks of money right now and just wanted to do a side quest.
alwayscorrect [#34]please link me video, i want to watch
Can't be bothered to find it rn man, sorry. You can search on SEN socials, It's one of those 'Introducing Shroud' videos.
kylocat [#28]dont act like you could do better
i swear every sentinels fan i saw online will go for pointless personal insults whenever arguments arent favoring them
