Optic vs EG was meant to be a close game but it turned one-sided then you watch EMEA playoffs and every series is a banger after banger with insane igl calls and multikill compilations going all the way to map 3.
Styling911 [#7]lmao NA is clearly better and we will prove it in masters 2 like mastrs 1
only fnatic can fight back Loud and Optic, but probably will choke again
Change your flair then "we"
idkbro [#9]every region is a 1 team region except europe, I think only loud can worry a full strenght emea
Lmaoooooo hahahaa. Iceland was a fluke run for every team, competition was at its lowest and Optic took advantage. Loud would be lucky to even take a map against any of EUs top 3. They played G2 and look where they are in Stage 2.
imperfecto [#11]ah yes thats why fnatic went undefeated
Reading comprehension is hard, I guess Fnatic rolled FPX in 2 maps instead of 3 yesterday.

Ok bro relax, loud is still a great team with tons of potential. Stop belittling other regions due to your weird superiority complex
EG is a team on a heater and does not represent the strength of our region.
If EG goes to an international lan they will do nothing. The crazy bias people have for teams that have 1 good tournament is wild.
Chances are, our 2nd team will do what most of NA’s “other” (team besides Sen and optic) do. That be just good enough to make the playoffs (if they don’t choke(champions)).
EG ain’t it and never was.
Shownu [#14]Stop, you're embarrassing yourself.
We'll see whos embarresed in masters 2 when you play against us and choke again
try to not flash your teammates
Shownu [#15]Reading comprehension is hard, I guess Fnatic rolled FPX in 2 maps instead of 3 yesterday.
is fnatic not undefeated rn?
Ullyr [#4]EU is clearly better they just got fked last master when their best team couldn't go so liquid went and fnatic got 2 subs.
Outside of Fnatic all of EU has looked poor this stage at least in Groups. May be differernt in playoffs but M3C, Acend, Liquid, even Guild to an extent all looked poor. Some people will argue FPX but I don't believe in them I'm sorry. Then don't even get me started on G2 lol. To say EU is clearly better is simply not using the data and games available to you this stage.
Marty [#16]Ok bro relax, loud is still a great team with tons of potential. Stop belittling other regions due to your weird superiority complex
I'm just stating facts, watch how so many teams fall off in Masters 2 that went ballistic in Iceland. Fnatic playing with 2 subs with one being their best fragger is not a lie, G2 representing number 1 seed and not even making playoffs in stage 2 is not a lie.

Same can be said for EU.
Other than FNC, I ain’t scared at all.
Optic = FNC
Optic and FNC > all EU and NA
Now obviously any team can win on any given day (Acend won champions, that’s proof enough)

If it ain't EG then you are a one team region because as much as I like XSET and Faze they can't compete internationally with that sort of inconsistency.

FPX literally pushed Fnatic all the way but its a one team region OMEGALUL
Its actually interesting how NA and EMEA narratives changed from group stage to playoffs. NA looked more competitive in group stages with the gap between rest of the teams and the best aka OpTic being pretty thin, while in EU Fnatic and FPX were clearly above others for most of groups stage and other teams looked weaker than usual.
And now when playoffs are going many of these promising NA teams haven't performed as well as they did in groups and the gap between rest and OpTic has become way more visible, while pretty much every top 6 EMEA team (Fnatic, FPX still pretty same) have looked better in playoffs than in groups.
My guess is that many of these NA teams are young or have only recently got some success and with 1 week prep time were able to take games from each other while now in playoffs the stakes and pressure are higher and teams don't have as much time to prepare so they kind of got exposed or just collapsed under pressure. That is why I wasn't as high on NA as many were during groups. While EMEA top 6 is full of experienced teams and players, so they won't choke as easily and are able to perform even better and playoffs setting might even benefit them.

does that not contradict your initial comment?. You implied regional strength in eu. g2 happened to beat fnatic with their full roster in the lower final 3-0 at stage 1. Then got exposed in iceland.

And how many champions did NA win by "not flashing their teammates"?

It doesn't matter if you're "stating facts." You Europeans are the biggest cryabbies along with NA when it comes to people calling you trash. You guys are kindergardeners when someone says "eu minor region" and "na one team region". You guys get so defensive and cry all the time only for you guys to belittle smaller regions for no reason at all. Not once this year have I seen a Brazilian being toxic, nor Japan, nor Korean, not even SEA (except that Jimmy guy). You need to relax and just support the teams you like.

Lol….
A win is a win. Any team can lose a map… like da fuc you mean?
FPX will get shit on by Optic and if you think otherwise you’re as dumb as you look.

Facts honestly. Apac_Jimmy is a tier 1 baiter along with Ballsax and Styling and should be considered an outlier.

I agree with the last bit
playoffs was always going to be a different ball game
group stage favors lots of strategies and precise round play
but playoffs rely on team experience

I agree with this, but I'll trust the second NA team to play well enough to make it out of groups at least.
babysasuke [#38]This is because every team in EMEA is equally weak with no clear advantages over each other or things they’re good at
ah yes
faze clan
babybay and dicey FC

G2 just had their best 2 weeks ever aka fluke. They spammed Icebox every series playing the same slow walk into A site then flash and dash.

I try to follow and root for teams in every region, but the fans are extremely annoying.
KyLZi [#51]I think this whole thread boils down to how much does the dominant team in x region dominate the the other teams in x region. Its only recently that Optic became this dominant. I think its due to C9/Sen/100ts falling off really hard in NA and Optic just kept getting better.
Has Optic really been that dominant in NA though? Like Optic is consistently good, but they have yet to win an NA event. This is the first challengers where Optic has been the favorites.
Abdul [#50]Sadge you broke your leg :/
W that it was cheap
Its free in Europe if you broke something like I broke my arm twice and my leg once when I was a kid and the leg in high school..everything was free (Germany)
CowboySG [#55]Has Optic really been that dominant in NA though? Like Optic is consistently good, but they have yet to win an NA event. This is the first challengers where Optic has been the favorites.
Honestly, I agree with you. I think they are just now starting to "dominate" the region. But it's not even close to the level that other top teams dominate other regions. Like Loud or DRX. I think Xset has the potential to beat Optic. I don't think NIP has a chance at beating Loud.

so far, loud and optic owns EU
