I really don't think any map deserves to be out as I like watching all of them. However, if they had to remove one, I would pick breeze. Comps on breeze are so stagnant kind of like old icebox and the map stresses boring post plants and executes
I think a potential 9 map pool is possible but if they take one out I hope its icebox
It probably will just be an extra ban added by the TO for each series or the higher seed gets an extra ban realistically. Ban, Ban, Ban, Pick, Pick, Ban, Ban, last map decider most likely.

Out of all the maps, Split, Breeze, Icebox and Bind are the most in need of some time out to get properly reworked. All of them are either stale or too one sided. I hope for Bind really, it's a stale map with all 4 site entrances being chokepoints, or Split because attack is so rough.

thats way too strong for higher seed and was pretty imbalanced when there were only 6 maps, pool of 7 would be much better

they do that at LANs already for best of 5's (See Loud vs Optic Grand Finals as most recent example). They won't take an entire map out of the pool.
Its either that or the decider map is a 50/50 toss up between the two remaining maps.

that makes sense for an upper bracket advantage but for high seed in every single matchup its too strong, plus too many maps is a big entry barrier for new teams. random toss has been done in the past and never goes over well either
It should be Icebox
won't be Breeze or Fracture since they are the newest releases
Doubt it will be Haven, Ascent since they are generally the most popular
Split and Bind could use some minor changes but they're both fine.
Icebox has so many flaws right now. Not only are comps very stagnant (Viper, Sage and Sova almost every comp)
mid is completely baron outside of lurks, since there are far too many angles for attackers to clear to even consider pushing it.
both sites are so problematically designed that most teams will Sage wall off as much of the site as possible and plant on a sliver of space left over, which is extremely unhealthy for the quality of the game.
not to mention, the map is very unpopular amongst the community.
I reckon Riot take out Icebox and give it a big overhaul. rework mid so it's actually approachable, and rework the sites so that attacker don't (and aren't forced to) sage wall off a tiny sliver of space for the plant.
