1.) Haven - requires map rotation discipline
2.) Ascent - requires team ability to split map during takes
3.) Breeze - requires aim
4.) Split - requires mid control
5.) Bind - requires post plant discipline
Is there really any argument?
Split can actually be a complex and interesting map, but the problem is people play so one-dimensionally in ranked "push a" or "push mid" or "push b" when the map requires so much more than that. That's why so many underrate it. I think Haven is still far and away the best map because of how dynamic it is and how many staging grounds there are. There is room for so much tactics. Ascent is underrated by so many for some reason when there's so much room for teamplay. Icebox is unique in how vertical it can get. Breeze is similar to Ascent, just larger and has halls. Bind has become partially one-dimensional and has the least amount of growth in terms of strategies. Fracture is unique because of all the orbs and angles of attack. That's why I think most of the maps are close in terms of how good they are.
TL;DR
1) Haven
2) Breeze
3) Ascent
4) Split
5) Icebox
6) Fracture
7) Bind

spookmeister [#8]Ascent is shit
Fracture is good
I guess it depends on the elo, but for more than half the player base it's impossible to play that map cuz it requires a lot of coordination compared to other maps
Sem1- [#3]ascent - actually a balanced map
haven - interesting concept
icebox - can be doodoo water, but i like it
fracture - same as haven
breeze - idk kinda mid
bind - no mid and boring
split - dogwater
ascent most ct sided map bro wtf
100TBoeJiden [#11]Zander won’t read it but vanity probably will FYI
Vanity fucked boe jiden last night
1.) Haven (best flow)
2.) Breeze (best design + aim battles)
3.) Split (pretty balanced if you take mid control on attack)
4.) Fracture (makes for fun games sometimes)
5.) Bind (fun retakes but a bad map design because there is no mid)
6.) Ascent (yes this low cuz this map is so boring now and all the walls are paper)
7.) Icebox (i think this map just has the worst flow to it, feel claustrophobic when i play it)
PRLV [#12]ascent most ct sided map bro wtf
No. There's so much room to explore as attacker, therefore so much strats can be made to break open defense. Just like haven. Although easier to retake post plant on ascent than on haven.
But idk how split sometimes can be so hard on attack when they have mid to explore.

every ascent game is the same
team starts ct gets huge lead like 9-3 or 8-4
team then goes to t and stuggles, leading to comeback
every game ever

- icebox - a lot you can do on that map and is nowhere even close to being solved (look at drx and eg) people just do the same stuff on it.
- haven - best map for learning how to anchor sites.
- split - the key to win games on this map is in the name.
- fracture - not my favorite but its very unique.
- breeze - its ok just kinda lame
- ascent - so many things are spammable esp at b
- bind - fuck this map
agreed, icebox is like the only real valorant map that works for val, the other maps are just csgo maps that dont work because there is only 1 or 2 chokepoints and you literally have to brutforce every round through main

bro what is bad abt fracture its such a good map one of the only maps i enjoy both attack and defense
All Valorant maps are pretty bad IMO, but without much thought:
