spirit absolutely can (them or navi imo unless vitality turn up huge), mongolz probably not
just be normal about it, 90% of teams in vct have perfectly fine fanbases that I have no problem with
I hate any team with stans who clearly don't understand the game they're watching or even keep up with broader storylines yet inorganically act like their team is the protagonist, it immediately makes me want them to lose. I hate prx, edg, t1 in lol, daigo fans in street fighter back in the day, doesn't matter who if you/your team has a fanbase like that I will never want them to win anything
This result kinda shows t1 are pretty fraudulent no? I think drx roll them tbh, then it's gonna be either geng or nongshim in grand finals with them
damn I thought they were ass but maybe loud is just good. Anyway no yay phoenix on pearl pls potter
is baiting emea fans on vlr even satisfying? Seems too easy, they're always on the defensive by default
lev beat 100t at least, only lost to the 2 grand finalists as well
idk why they're so obsessed with the whole kickoff idea, is it that hard to just have 3 splits in a year?
Emea fans always do this, claim they have the most depth after week 1 and then when internationals start they become a 1 team region again.
in this game it's more about the meta read/prep on maps than player skill imo. You can still get aim diffed obviously, you need "good enough" mechanics, but especially nowadays util can be so oppressive, especially if your opponent hasn't prepped for it, that you don't need anyone who's the best in their role to win an event imo
I'm not 'protecting' c0m I'm shitting on deluded aspas fanboys, there's a difference. I also never said I'm not a fan of any team or player, I am an eg fan and I'm disappointed at how they played but it's just a fucking game man I'm not gonna sit here mad about it a week later. Not my problem you tie your national identity to fucking valorante child game so you have to comb through interviews to find shit to get mad at, I didn't even bring up brazil or any other brazilian players, loud played well congrats to them I hope they beat sen
Go watch madrid again the level of valorant at that event was tragic
in international matches yeah because boostio was +0 against him in tokyo
First off no one is "my duelist" because I don't have some weird parasocial attachment to valorant pros, I'm not crazy like sen fans or prx fans or aspas fanboys. Second he's like cryo (you know the guy your goat just got rolled by) in that he's a jett who flexes to smokes, he isn't a typical duelist player. If he wants to perform he ought to be in a system like 2023 eg or current 100t where there's a raze flex and a jett flex, idk if it's his ego or the coach but I agree he shouldn't be playing raze. If it is his idea he can ruin his own career or he can go back to his 2023 roles, it doesn't really affect me
demon1 played smokes on 3/5 of the maps. If we only count maps where he played duelist he was +1 against aspas
Aspas fans are really still yapping after we just saw his vanity project get steamrolled by 100t, you guys should be worrying about not geting 2-0d by c9 instead of being petty towards his former teammates
PRX fans every year:
Rinse and repeat forever
you did not watch kru vs loud haven if you think they're not bottom 3 rn, that shit was embarrassing and I was a kru believer
I think it was a financial issue, if I had to guess vit probably spent a shitton this year and fnc couldn't match the offer
he seems like an onliner rn but he needs more time
I don't speak spanish/portugese enough to know how likeable the SA teams are but 100t are lower surely. Also demon1 and c0m have a lot of haters so idk about lev
zekken is chill, the fanbase is unbearable. Only prx fans are as bad
idk how you guys put up with a team this inconsistent it makes me mad and I don't even have skin in the game
Sucks but I think riot moved it because they were unhappy with viewership last year and figured they could get na viewers to watch before americas starts
Before I thought people were just trolling but this bind he was pretty invisible aside from the 1 A hold he did, asuna had way more impact for his team despite lower stats
literally nothing to do with what I said
no need to get so pressed, the 100t look good in 1 map then troll script is kicking in
1 map in and we're psychologically diagnosing a whole team?
I'd say fade combos better with tejo because of tether so probably her. Also sova takes alot of work compared to fade on fracture because if you don't come up with a bunch of good unique dart lineups he loses a lot of value
I'm an eg glazer but acting like figuring out fracture meta in 2025 is gonna be the same as in 2023 is kinda dumb, the game has changed too much. Its like saying fnc and vit are gonna have the best lotus because they have fnc 2023 members
EG and EDG vs LOUD at tokyo 2023
KC vs FNC at kickoff
FPX vs FUT at shanghai maybe even though I don't really rate matches that didn't end up meaning anything
people cope about this stuff by saying shit like "all teams have the same amount of time" or "this will test how quickly teams can adapt" when the issue is that the level of valorant will simply be lower than if tejo wasn't playable. I don't really care which team is the fastest to find/abuse a new meta every 3 months only to fall off as soon as people have time to antistrat them (like kc 2024), I wanna see teams have complete and refined playbooks and spend the year perfecting them. All these changes do is lower the rate at which the overall level of valorant rises because teams have less time to spend on improving the fundamentals
train's been out for months though, only reason it's controversial at all is because some pros say train is not competitive as it is now
them finally getting rid of foxy9 and selling him to a regional rival as a fucking sentinel of all things kinda makes me believe for the first time since like early 2023
the fact that people still care enough to litigate this is proof babysasuke won
because he's a selfless duelist who's flexible, likeable and has super flashy clips. Also people know his ceiling is trophy caliber, unlike a keznit. He gets glazed a bit too hard at times sure but I don't see how his year was too different from someone like less or cauanzin for example, both of them had mediocre stats on a team that didn't do anything of note (loud making madrid and farming china doesn't mean much to me) but are still widely considered top tier players
I'm never gonna be mad at no icebox and breeze
true, also an actually good organic storyline that made the annoying freaks who treat players like kpop idols mad as they won a trophy over their pookies
only thing brazil is good at is being annoying on vlr
100t vs mibr first match at kick off and also brazilians hate boostio
aspas touching the trophy in 2024: flirting
boostio touching the trophy in 2023: harassment
sen and g2 only trash talk if you care about the org’s social media manager more than the players, the players themselves never really do it
observations can be opinion-based, those things aren’t mutually exclusive. I promise you this is not as deep as you’re trying to make it lol, I have no issues with them placing 2nd and didn’t mean to imply anything bad or offend anyone. All I was saying is how they did it doesn’t really seem replicable watching it back
it’s really not that serious man I’m just making an observation
I’m rewatching champs 2023 playoffs because I wanted to compare it to this year and I forgot how lucky prx were to even make it to grand finals. They literally pulled unreplicable wins out of their ass vs loud on lotus and eg on pearl, it was like a cruel god cursed them to make 2nd again
If I’m a riot employee scripting this event I have edg or sen win, gets them the most money
