That's the thing. EG HAD the formula. They had perfect roles. Every player excelled in their role. Not just that but their story was perfect too. The underdogs who became the best, and talked shit. Yeah you can blame the players for not being able to adapt nowadays, but knowing the peaks of this team and the players, and seeing the org throw it away still pissed me off.

posted 3 months ago

It is genuinely so ass what EG did to their Champs winning roster. That team was so fun to watch and so fun to root for.

While some of the players have moved on to greener pastures (Jawg), it feels like half of them are in limbo (Ethan, Boostio), and half of them are in hell (Demon1, COM).

The team worked so well together. EG is such a shit org. Bottom-feeder corporate dogs, and I will forever hate this org.

Underrated but definitely needs commitment and skill. You have to know your positioning to be able to effectively smoke for your team especially on defense.

NAVI was the dying embers of an FPX team that had a lot of potential and even achieved somewhat to that potential

posted 3 months ago

LOUD and FNC were at the same strength in this tournament. With FNC being able to clutch up and squeeze out a victory.

If the .25 points is really that worth it to you, you can create your own headcanon that NAVI are the EMEA saviors.

posted 3 months ago

I did take this into consideration. DRX lost 3-2, and NAVI lost 3-0. Hence why I gave DRX 3rd.

posted 3 months ago

That too. I either include it and mfers say "farmer league" or I don't and mfers say "why not count it"

I guess this can't be taken at face value. Lets say this doesn't determine who's best, but which region is most consistent.

posted 3 months ago

idk I feel like all of the regional debates started post-franchising.

posted 3 months ago

I've gone through the data. I will be grading each of these regions based on winnings and qualifications in international. No regional Randy's allowed. I don't want to hear anything about Mickey Mouses or any cope. An international tourney win, is an international Tourney Win. I'll be starting after franchising since the regions were built out more after it.

I am counting a tourney win as one point. Placing second gives you half a point, and placing third gives the region a quarter of a point.

Maybe, but I wouldn't double down on what you said. You never know which team turns up when.

posted 3 months ago

Can't even say nothin back either, they just won champs. Unfortunate LMFAO

posted 3 months ago

Yes but G2 has consistent practice against NA teams who are more chaotic. That's why I think when EMEA goes into internationals, they encounter things they haven't before.

posted 3 months ago

This game is just not for EMEA.

You excel at CS because it is slower-paced and more about lineups, strategy, positioning, and aim. It is not chaotic.

The rest of the regions may not have better util usage, but I think they are more efficient when playing among chaos.

When EMEA teams play a game that goes straight through their gameplan, they are perfect, but once that gameplan is gone, it looks like the other regions play better.

And I think this is why EMEA has fallen off so much recently due to more util and agents being factored in every season. Just some food for thought.

If I'm on my best map, and preferred agents, I get 5 at least from baiting LOL

posted 3 months ago

You are talking about the same org that had Ardiis on Sage and Demon1 on Omen.

posted 3 months ago

They're one of the most popular orgs in terms of bundle sales, and their roster has a pretty good brand in Asia. I think it'd be more worthwhile to keep this roster, and continue to reap their popularity, while trying to make things work. If they were to blow the whole roster up, the whole "W gaming" brand disappears and that in itself is worth more than winning championships, monetarily speaking.

posted 3 months ago

Either way, with all the turmoil NRG has had these past few seasons, I don't think it was a good place for him to grow as a T1 player.

With MIBR, he can initiate and frag behind Aspas, who's arguably the best duelist in the game. I think he's in a better place now.

Was it a disastrous break up or mutual?

posted 3 months ago

Yea I believe it. I like my meat marbled, but nothing crazy. I'm good with USDA Prime. Anything more might just be too rich for my blood lol.

posted 3 months ago

Val can be played by anyone, so in the general population, it's bound to be more popular.

For CS, you kind of have to use third-party platforms like FaceIt to enjoy the game so there's more hoops to jump through. The average 16-20 year old would much rather just click download and play.

I feel like CS fans are just oldheads from 1.6 or Source that die by CS or people who don't care for all the abilities and prefer the gunplay.

You're a better man than me. I haven't had one before but I also hate steak fat. So I don't know if I would enjoy it.

posted 3 months ago

are you saying wagyu a5 because you've had it before or because you know its the most expensive steak?

posted 3 months ago

There's a cycle to this in ranked play.

  1. You want to try the phantom
  2. You use it for a couple of rounds and you think to yourself "holy shit, this is so much more accurate and pleasing to fire"
  3. You see the 140 damage in the death recap
  4. You instalock vandal
  5. Repeat step 1
posted 3 months ago

I wonder if he's able to be more vulnerable since he's back home. Either way, its ok to be. Just hope he doesn't feel like every game is life or death lol.

posted 3 months ago

He did, but even in some cases like the 1v2 vs Boostio, when Zekken had to ace to clutch the round, he sounded pissed when he died and left Zach alone. I just hope he's not putting too much pressure on himself.

posted 3 months ago

I think this has less to do with the players than it does with the game. It feels like there are new agents, new metas, new shit being implemented every day. While a team might be the clear winner on paper, another team might've had more time for practice or trying new things.

posted 3 months ago

Is it me or does he look a bit off?

I'm not talking about his performance, but his mental looks a bit iffy. In multiple voice comm videos, he always looks and sounds very tilted after dying or not playing perfectly. I'm pretty sure I even remember Zellsis kind of big brothering him and telling him not to sigh in the mic.

What's going on with him? I know he was struggling with Senti earlier in the season, but he's on his comfort role now.

posted 3 months ago

mr worldwide, that is an amazing way to go out

posted 3 months ago

I think it'll come in time with more agents. There's so few to choose from.

posted 3 months ago

I agree. There needs to be a fine balance. I think with the Sentinel role being so strong, Yoru stands out because he can bait out traps and get out. Hopefully they find a good middle ground so the meta doesn't just stay at Yoru and can flourish.

posted 3 months ago

I get the sentiment, but I think this is a good direction for Valorant overall. Having agents be must-picks for maps will only cause the meta to be stagnant. It's good to see players on different agents, and I personally think that yoru highlights have a higher ceiling than Jett's or Raze's. Yoru is just more of a calmer agent round-to-round.

Ok so for some reason or the other, you are deciding your last meal.

It can be literally anything in the world. Your mom's cooking, fast-food, some dish from 2000 years ago. What are you eating?

Honestly valid. I think 3 Turks for "go kill", then a Russian for util/info, and then a foreign IGL is the key

posted 3 months ago

I mean they're in the LEC which is a way weaker region compared to the LCK (koreans) and the LPL (chinese). They're just a consistent and stable org. Which is what I think Riot were looking for with franchising.
