Fixed! But I cannot believe you found the 1 player I missed amongst all of those players in 5 minutes.

Hello VLR. I'm bored at work and have decided to set up a game for Champs for VLR users to play. It'll be almost like a fantasy league. Itwon't wont be the most polished and there's no way to prevent duplicate players on different teams so I've made a revised version that'll help fit. Here's how it works.

I will be providing a list of players, categorized by tier lists. These tier lists will be ordered by skill (and the likelihood of getting you the most points, that's why you'll notice more duelists at S tier because they tend to be the hard fraggers). You have to create a team of 5 players by choosing 1 player from each tier, and the 5 players you have must fulfill the traditional roles of a team. That means you can't just choose 5 duelists. You must have a duelist, an initiator, a sentinel, a controller, and a flex.

I will be going over everyone's team and adding up the total by combining all of your player's ratings after every week. If like Shanghai, rating is not available, I will add up all of the ACS. By the end of champs, whoever has the highest score will get 20 dollars through Paypal, Cashapp, or Venmo (or a Riot giftcard.)

With team eliminations, these tier lists will be adjusted.

Update: More than likely with team eliminations, it'll be harder to keep this going so I will only be running this until the end of group stage. Thank you to everyone who submitted a team, and good luck!

Here is the tier list and good luck everyone:

I really like the rings on harbor's wrists, those look clean af.

Brother, you are not understanding me. My issue is with the bums that didn't witness the losses and the bullshit rotating roster. The ones that just saw them dominate Madrid, win Shanghai and change their flair just to say rep Gen G like they're lifelong fans.

posted 10 months ago

That's completely fine. Liking Gen G and supporting them is not my issue. My issue is with the fans that are new and trying to reap the glory of the team's success.

posted 10 months ago

your address

posted 10 months ago

My issue isn't with outright supporting Gen G. Obviously they need to get fans someway. My issue is with the bums that only started supporting them this year, had no idea they existed and then go on to flex their team as if they've seen the struggle.

posted 10 months ago

bro isn't even a Gen G supporter 😂

posted 10 months ago

real af, at least stick with PRX bro, that's way more commendable

you were one of the people specifically that came to mind as I was writing this

80% of Gen G fans are fraudulent. The team itself is great and I hope they continue to see success but their fans are top 3 most insufferable. At least SEN/NRG/FNC/NAVI fans have supported their team through delusion and cope.

If you were a part of the 14 people that supported Gen G before the roster changes (probably because you like the league team), I salute you. You are some of the best people and have every right to defend and flex your team.

I'd be willing to bet 80% didn't even know Gen G was franchised until this year. Not only that, but they didn't know about the players' previous struggles on other teams. On paper, this is a team made of "washed" pros who haven't seen success in a while. (This list includes me, I literally didn't even know Gen G was a team until this year.)

I hate every single one of you that jumped on their bandwagon this year. On top of that, you're even worse if you jump on the bandwagon and call other teams trash. No loyalty. Rat people fr.

If you're 17 I'd say its really not that big of an issue. I had acne all of over my face and body and it was getting really extreme, and was genetic. Like I said, if its just a random outbreak, accutane is overkill.

posted 10 months ago

Medications affect people differently. I used it for 5-6 months and didn't really have any issues other than my skin drying up which is normal.

posted 10 months ago

If you have a history of acne, and its not just on your face. Depending on how old you are, accutane might be your only saving grace.

If its just a random breakout, there's nothing wrong with that.

posted 10 months ago

none of these dudes play for money. They will play to play at the highest level.

posted 10 months ago

This was the best result for the current T1 scene. Almost all of OXG and DZ will be poached

posted 10 months ago

Holy shit say gg to almost the entire OXG roster. They are all getting poached LMFAO.

posted 10 months ago

That one I actually disagree with. I commented on it on a previous thread but I think JohnQT should have best IGL.

Both are T2 talents that had different paths to prove themselves. One had to prove his T2 team could compete in T1 and the other had to help restructure the most popular T1 team and have them actually be taken serious again.

They both frag hard, and call great. The only reason I would say JohnQT is because he was able to win a chip.

posted 10 months ago

Your argument alone solidified why Valyn won the award.

Tenz is the best omen but Valyn is the best controller.

posted 10 months ago

Thank bro. I almost had a panic attack before the meeting but it went great. <3

Ok genuine advice.

  1. Stop playing duelist. It is one of the hardest to play in ranked, with teammates that don't communicate or set you up. You need to have the kills and mechanical ability to perform well on duelist in ranked.

  2. Play Initiator. It is the easiest role to play in ranked, you have util to support yourself and your teammates, and it'll help when you play behind your duelists and learn to trade.

  3. Hit the practice range/DMs/aimlabs. Your HS% should be 25% at the very minimum. This could be due to the fact you're playing neon who is more spastic, or because you have a super high sens.

  4. Try lower sens. I like to play on 800 dpi and anywhere from 2-2.5 in game sens. It can help you solidify your aim.

  5. Unbind your crouch. This was one of my biggest problems when I was climbing. I kept crouching when shooting. Get more comfortable with strafing and staying mobile in gunfights

  6. Play intentionally. Don't do things because you've seen them online or just because. Make every move you make intentional, every bit of utility count.

Once you have the mechanics, and overall game knowledge, you can branch to other roles and improve.

Thanks brother. I appreciate the words of encouragement.

I just presented a marketing plan to a billion dollar company. I'm only 22 and being in an industry like this, at this age is pretty daunting. I'm telling 60 yera old CEOs what to do with their business and often times I get imposter syndrome. I'm blessed to have had the opportunity.

posted 10 months ago

your team might win, but it'll be despite you, not because of you

posted 10 months ago

I don't even mean in a 1v1 sense. I mean if you put any player on this forum, in a 5v5 pro match amongst pros, they will get shit on.

posted 10 months ago

I always find it hilarious when people hate on players or call them washed. I think since e-sports are a somewhat more attainable goal to the mass than say the NBA or NFL, it is easier to criticize players.

But know that even the worst pro in franchising can and will take a massive dump on 99% of the users on this website.

As Brian Scalabrine once said "I'm closer to Lebron, than you are to me."

Seein these kids not acknowledge how crazy Victor was on fracture with Neon

posted 10 months ago

Ya'll mfers are never happy bro. You go 2 years without winning and complain. You win an event and remain competitive all year and still complain. This is why everyone hates SEN fans.

posted 10 months ago

W take

posted 10 months ago

So you want to kick out the initiator for... initiating?

posted 10 months ago

Who brought up discarding lol. I'm just saying that I think a lot of people will be surprised. Champs has historically always been a toss up. Almost every year, the favorites don't win. Gambit, FNC, Optic etc. I'm expecting upsets. Regardless, I think Gen G still perform well, just not to their invincible standard.

posted 10 months ago

Again, I'm not sure if you guys are reading my post or are just trolling. I never said they were a weak team, or are frauds or any of the shit you're bringing up. You guys are arguing against me saying that they will face the most competition at Champs. I personally don't think they'll win, but will still play super solid. They obviously very well could come out on top, and you're correct if it was to be any team, it'd be them. I just think Champs is always a toss up historically.

posted 10 months ago

I mean I understand why people think that but at the end of the day, we've seen upsets and new teams rising up. To hold them to such a high standard is probably exhausting to the players.

posted 10 months ago

Alright grandpa, lets get you to sleep

posted 10 months ago

Did you not learn from FNC? They literally not only went to GFs but won almost every event. Yet what happened in Champs? I'm really not seeing what you're arguing against. I never once insulted the team or said that they're frauds etc. I just said they will have the hardest time at this international because there are more teams, all of them at their peak and they've been the best team so they'll have the biggest bullseye on them.

posted 10 months ago

Yes I have but to be honest, the only map that was close was the Icebox map. The comeback was fun to watch but the intensity in my opinion ramped up in just map 5. The Gen G and SEN series felt like that the whole map. Gen G literally looked unbeatable.

posted 10 months ago

You're just being super biased. Yes its their first year as a roster but so was the NRG roster yet they had all the hype and were immediately thought to be the favorites all year.

You go back and ask anyone at the start of the year and no one would've had Gen G on a list regardless of the roster changes.

They came out super strong and have dominated the whole year. But its braindead to keep putting them on a pedestal. I think Champs is the perfect playground to fully form as a team. They will face the best teams, no mickey mouse allegations, no excuses. My post is to say that they will face the biggest hurdles at this event and you're disagreeing?

posted 10 months ago

To add on top of that, I'm hoping for a finals with the same competitiveness as SEN vs Gen G. I truly believe that was the best finals I've ever watched. Regardless of who would've won, every single round was fought so hard, even I was exhausted after the match ended.

posted 10 months ago

They are the favorites for sure. I just want it to be more competitive and that's what I'm hoping for. With more teams, and those teams being at their best. I want to see some fucking haymakers in matches. Not a finals like Shanghai, where it was "close" but not really.

posted 10 months ago

It makes perfect sense. More teams this event, more competitiveness. I'm not saying they're going to be terrible, but these past two events they've actually looked like they were smurfing. I think they'll just have more competition at Champs.

posted 10 months ago

I think they'll have a solid champs but I think its time teams caught up with them. Gen G hasn't been a serious competitor until only this year so I think a lot of teams underestimated them coming into this season. They looked terrifying in both Madrid and Shanghai, only losing internationally ONCE to SEN. That is actually insane.

They'll most likely make it out of groups but I think they won't get top 3 just due to the fact that they will have a huge target on their backs. They're one of the teams with the most footage and I think they'll get heavily antistratted. Yes teams tried that in Shanghai as well but this time around, every team looks to be at their best. I think they'll have a harder time at this international.

Regardless, they're going to be so fun to watch..

posted 10 months ago

I think they're neck and neck to be honest. Both are T2 talents that came in and lit up the league.

They both had different goals. Valyn came into T1 with a full team that he's had experience with but they hadn't played in T1 in a while. I think he really paved the way of success for future Ascension teams and showed them that its possible.

JohnQT is also a career T2 player that had the difficult goal of helping restructuring the most popular team in Valorant. While it's been a rough few months, his impact cannot be understated. He took a content team that struggled for two years and won them an international and gave them competitiveness.

I would only say JohnQT is better just due to the fact that he won a chip this year. In terms of calling and leading, they're the same.
