SEA ranked is 50% Pepega Clap and 50% Pog

All I'm saying is Seoldam and Munchkin are both free agents right now.

He could be waiting for a perfect team for him, since he has no pressure to get signed (unlike other T2, T1.5 players). No point in getting stuck on a sinking ship.

I think a twitter-esque timeline for the news may work better. A problem I have with the format currently is the lack of a good way to differentiate between BIG news, and not as relevant news. The text kind of blends into the image, too. However, that could be a problem with the creator of the news rather than the site itself. Still, I think you should maybe put the title in another separate area where it's easier to read.

Actually, the recent news section is great - the text pops, it's easy to see which news is new, and IMO looks better in general. Maybe emphasize the date more, since it's important! I think this section should be the first thing visible on the site.

The categories section has to be visible right as soon as you load the site, IMO should be part of the navigation bar. It's a very nice addition, though! I think the addition of something like a "roster changes" category, or a "rumours" thing would be very useful.

In terms of overall look and feel, I really like the minimal theme that permeates the entire site, starting from the lowercase title. IMO, the images for the news take away from this. They kind of feel too large, I personally liked the size present in the recent images area much better. It preserves the feel of the site!

Finally, this is a completely subjective suggestion - remove the name, email, and website entries when commenting. I think completely anonymous comments really drive interaction, even if they come with potential problems. The easier it is to interact, the more there will be interactions!

It's a great site! Even more impressive since it seems that you made it mostly by yourself.

Can you link that match? I can't find it on VLR.

The EU league qualifier is on Jan 10th. If they do announce the team on the 8th, it would be odd. I think there's a chance, though. Especially with the league show-match against Ibai's team (Koi), who've also announced a Valorant team.

posted about 3 years ago

can you link the match against BOOM? The only time I saw this team was in the PH qualifier a long time ago for like 2-3 rounds.

posted about 3 years ago

they played on the same tea in the CIS quals, lost to Gambit early last year. I think.

posted about 3 years ago

Why is Action PH so high?

BOOM, AEGO, and Bleed can definitely do well. I think a Thai or Viet team could do well too. possibly Sharper or BAAM.

IMO, the best SEA team will be Paper Rex. Forsaken + Jingg is insane. Full Sense will be a close second. I really think they just choked on LAN.

Vikings beat X10 in Iceland.

I don't think they'd have a chance at beating Champs X10, though.

Yeah, I can imagine it would be. I was wondering why Bleed chose him over all players.

The team will compete for only one slot. The teamS will compete for the slotS.

posted about 3 years ago

They will compete in the APAC playoffs. So far, that includes SEA, South Asia, and OCE. It may also include China.

Japan and Korea have their own playoff events, so it's safe to say they will not participate in this event.

the fuck lmfao???

Interesting considering SEA is usually the place sending players. Pyth wasn't a bad player on G2 either, but he wasn't exactly amazing either. Wonder if this project will work out, SEA and EU are pretty different. This team won't have a language barrier, since they all speak English fluently and likely as their first language too.

I kind of think it's an odd decision considering the shit load of free-agent talent already available in SEA.

nothing like that announced for any regions so far. If a team doesn't make it into the main league, it looks like they're fucked. At least in EU there are VRLs so they have something to do.

(you must change the website language to Korean for the article to show up)

Same open qual as NA. Top 4 circuit points from last year get top seeds in the qualifier (top 16 directly). Round robin, then top 6 advance to playoffs to compete for a spot in Masters events.

https://valorantesports.com/news/2022-vck-team-subsidy-program/
The 50k USD support thing that was available last year has been changed so that it can only be fully requested by teams in the league section of the event. Not sure if this really will change anything since it seemed to have little to no effect last year. Realistically, this is only a slight benefit for teams investing. The real incentive would be getting into Champs for the bundle money.

This is leagues better than the horrendous single elim format last year and allows for way more top-level competition in Korea. This flat out did not exist last year, where the top teams played hardly 3 games against each other per masters event because of the singe elimination bracket-style formats. Will Korea as a region finally gain more depth? Will free agents from the Japanese scene come back (Seoldam, Munchkin, and others)?

Would be amazing for nations currently not included (SA, OCE etc.), since they'd all get at least 1 slot in the APAC league for Masters 1. If they don't perform, the best nation will send another team!

The only problem with this is that it kind of fucks multi-national teams since they'd need at least 3 players from a region. However, that restriction is already in place so there's no big difference.

I hate when people just blame everything on "the algorithm" as if it's a sentient being, lmfao.

NRG has a complete roster. TSM do not. For that reason, I've included the "COPIUM OVERDOSE" next to them. Corey and Rossy would be good additions, but have yet to be confirmed. I doubt the ability for any team to make a deep run without having at least a month of time to practice with their IGL.

And, as another comment has stated, this list is NOT in order. It's just the 12 teams I expect, and want to get into the league stage!

posted about 3 years ago

They only have three players on the roster, without an IGL. That, and I just dislike the core of Wardell and Subroza, tbh. No solid reason outside of that, but this is not an objective list, just the 12 teams I'd like to see and I think will make it.

posted about 3 years ago

Whose place would they take? I guess I could see them beat NRG / TSM. It seems like a tossup, though.

best move imo.

wait what? lmfao that's just as weird as the other X10 player becoming a vtuber.

posted about 3 years ago

A secondary league could work. Not sure if it makes sense, since the EU version seems to be for the purpose of fostering competition in specific languages and cultures, which doesn't apply to NA.

posted about 3 years ago

Apparently, it was in response to a question, and that tweet was the caster's opinion rather than the actual news.

Not sure how "quien crees que debería cambiar NV?" is asking for the opinion though. My Spanish is rough, but I'm pretty sure it's asking the caster, how NV should change (in response to the other tweet saying it would change).

Actually, it might make more sense if it was the usted conjugation, rather than el. idk tbh my Spanish sucks ass lmfao

posted about 3 years ago

My list isn't in order, I just wrote it as they came to mind. I 100% agree about the KCP thing, though. Jcstani is a great igl, with great players on his team too.

posted about 3 years ago

I suppose this means teams will finalize their rosters by January 2022, to give their teams ~1 month to practice for the open qualifier.

I'm interested in the decision not to include the Champions teams by default, as EMEA did. Perhaps because they underperformed severely?

posted about 3 years ago

Need three players from a nation to even compete, I don't think the org matters at all.

In the case of Vitality, they will likely add another French player (Keloqz PauseChamp?). Or, they may just keep the same roster for the EU league qualifier, and switch if and only if they fail to qualify into the top 8 teams during the Open.

posted about 3 years ago

I think they'll qualify either way. I just put that there so other replies would also use that assumption!

posted about 3 years ago

How would regional leagues work in NA? East coast vs West coast maybe? idk what happens to the midwest then, though. Maybe another one with Texas and a few others. IDK how they'd choose who can play where, either.

posted about 3 years ago

no clue. I assume it's the same as last year, so 3.
