MONSTEERR has potential. I don't the trainwreck that was the post-G2 Heretics roster is indicative of his ability.

I can obviously see it going both ways, though. He would have to improve significantly from the Heretics showing for my claim to be true, but I have faith that he will.

this is why NA has no IGLs.

m4china and krea6on are good players. Yacine is very good.

no clue about Nile.

while it's true that it's not always necessary to get 200+ acs to be a good player, being the IGL is no excuse for frequent double digit performances. I have faith in his calling, but Bonkar needs to step up his game in finding individual impact in rounds.

Fit1nho (Giants, EU). Roster has a lot of potential, on top of being an incredible player already.

Something (Blue Bees, Japan). Player is ridiculous. Puts up insane numbers always. I'm not very sure about his team, though. Especially because of the language barrier

posted about 3 years ago

Jinggg and Foresaken on the same team is honestly insane. It's similar to Heat and Mwzera on Keyd. I'll be very surprised if they don't qualify to Masters 1.

posted about 3 years ago

Leo is very good. Sayf is a solid player too.

-Bonkar +Kolda should improve the team's firepower, but I have to wonder how their strategy will be affected. I wasn't a big fan of G2's decision making on some maps, however, they did very well on others.

I'm not too familiar with either of the other two players, but they look like they have a lot of potential.

I'm looking forward to how this team will perform. I don't think they can touch any of the Champs teams, though. Unless Boaster's brain dies again and chooses to run triple smokes.

posted about 3 years ago

yes. already have shown that they have the best teams and players.

this year, they'll have a superior VCT format compared to other regions with the VRLs and VRC, so the players will only improve more

meanwhile, in NA, there's a single open qual. LMFAO.

it sucks tbh. whole point of these leagues is develop regional talent, but instead they just field an international roster.

also yoinks players out of other leagues, too.

unknown. He's replied to basically every ESC tweet - https://twitter.com/MUNCHKING_/with_replies .

I think there's a high chance he does go over to that team.

question - Isn't Zunba doing military service right now? Will he be able to compete?

posted about 3 years ago

wait that's actually hilarious. it flew straight over my head the first time lol

Damn, this squad has potential. Moothie and Goddead could be weak links, but who knows.

Don't think they'll be able to win against VS's star-packed roster, but they should give them a long-missed domestic challenge.

posted about 3 years ago

zunba - smokes
k1ng - sentinel
moothie - initiator
goddead - flex / jett

+1 to play duelist most likely.

posted about 3 years ago

only thing I'd really wear often, outside. it's fire.

sucks it's unavailable to purchase internationally.

posted about 3 years ago

Moothie (initiator) and Goddead (sentinel? not 100% sure) are confirmed too.

Now it's just the star jett player that remains. Free agents include - Munchkin, Hyeoni, Seoldam.

VALORANT definitely is more appealing to the casual audience - new content updates ensure the timely return of big content creators who move onto other games.

pretty sure GTA has been the most-watched game on twitch for years even prior to XQC and Offline TV.

It's a great game. sucks rockstar milked the testicles out of it instead of working on the sequel.

I saw the so-called "comedy". Most it got out of me was a snicker. There's nothing worth a belly laugh from a movie like this.

In part, it's due to my dislike of satire. I don't really understand how anyone can really LAUGH at this type of satirical content.

Thus, I think the movie sucks. It does do a great job of making the viewer feel like a smartass, however.

movie sucks dick. "comedy" but there's nothing funny.

best part was the hot blonde reporter chick. but then they gave her the personality of a soggy sandwich.

IMO, the suck. The possibility for a temporary boost in a team's skill isn't worth the possible downside of language, cultural, or financial issues that the team will likely face in the future.

As a fan, it sucks to see players who aren't very sought after in other regions take the spots that potential upcoming talent could have used on teams in other regions. This is especially egregious when said team is in a region with a large player base and massive potential.

I think it's more important for teams to invest in the upcoming players in the region. Even if it causes a temporary downgrade in performance. Despite being a risky investment time-wise, they should be better financially and more importantly, be better in the long run.

It would suck to have a region's best team be only 60% composed of players from that region.

However, I do agree with importing support staff. Coaches, analysts, and scouts from other regions are great pickups - their experience is their most useful trait. I emphasize the need for great player scouts. It's already been proven to be a good tactic - Immortals being the prime example. Rossy, Asuna, jcstani, and more.

definitely needs one - I have no knowledge whatsoever about half the players on this team.

It's been a year of serious competitive play. Naturally, those with better connections, experience, and other skills developed from playing other games for years give them an advantage.

Players like S1mple, who've played a game for their whole life, can't exist in this game yet since it's too young.

I'm near certain that in the coming years, the best players will have only played Valorant at a professional level.

posted about 3 years ago

Is he still as indecisive as he was a few months ago? Definitely has the mechanical skill. His work ethic was really good in FN, too. The same goes for his gamesense.

However, if he's still unsure about what he's going to do, none of that matters since he's not going to be able to improve at the maximum possible rate due to a lack of commitment.

posted about 3 years ago

Why increase the skill ceiling when nobody has reached it? Random players getting great results doesn't imply that the game is easy. It just means they're improving.

Valorant is a team game. Even if the individual players seem to all be equal in skill (I disagree with this), the teams are far from that. If anything, making the game "harder" will only allow "random" players to hard carry their team more and upset other "known" teams.

HSK and Suggest will play in a Japanese showmatch like tournament today.

Their team in this tournament (temporary) is:

Hate
Suggest
HSK
Zunba
Allow

removing the on/off from the dark mode and spoiler options is a bad idea. No point in making anything less clear than it already is.

the choice to add a player / team ranking page on the front is cool. however, there's no solid way to actually rank players or teams currently.

what method would be used to rank the players and teams? if it's just raw acs numbers, then you get players who've been playing against worse competition higher than players playing against better teams.
