chet going to have a whole ass roster doing vod reviews with him
i think they will be able to compete through the new HKTW circuit
i think the ascension tournaments will be LANs. before those, there will only be circuits that consist of single countries or geographically close regions.
Qualifiers for challengers
Will be ingame now.
the article mentioned 2024 as their expected launch date for the in-game pathway directly into challengers :
We have huge ambitions for integrating this system directly into the VCT. Looking ahead to 2024, the top teams emerging from this system will get a chance to qualify directly from the game into Challengers.
i wonder if there are regulation regarding the roster of promoted teams (i.e. 3 player core to keep spot) if there are, i don't see it being even close to 30 million.
either way, for 2 years, I think 10 mil is probably the maximum unless the viewership seriously increases
well, if ascension was after champions, they could.
being profitable is basically a war crime tbh they should be tried at the hague
there's already 2 confirmed
like the sponsors, teams, etc. everyone investing in the franchise needs to be okay with having some teams getting "easier" path in
(easier not in the competitive sense, but that they wouldn't have to deal with the application process)
revenue sharing and other money related stuff may have to be dealt with too
it probably wasn't all okay-ed by all the franchise stakeholders at that point
yeah lol i tried watching an event the other day and the observer was using a stuttery potato with like 50% packet loss
they play their own region all the time except for the 2-4 series the majority of teams play on LAN every 2-3 months, compared to weekly LAN international matchups.
Northern Europe doesn't have great viewership which may be a big reason for it, and a lot of the more northeastern countries don't have big valorant playerbases
every year there's 1 new team
you get 4 fours of 2 year promotions (which are what actually grow the league), then switch to 1 year promos.
yeahhh, especially if it's a smaller org that makes it through.
the bigger orgs will at the very least have the resources to make roster changes if they perform badly
After two years, teams will return to their league to battle their way back through Challengers and Ascension tournaments.
I'm just confused about the timeline, specifically whether they be forced to take a year off.
does anyone know if this means a team could theoretically:
without any breaks?
It's always bo and ominous making these tweets that tell us literally nothing

yeah, he only did the remix thing at the opening ceremony
my favorites are rise and ignite
zedd is already a pretty big name tbf
die for you was a banger but it doesn't compare to the best league worlds songs (the two recent ones are mid though)
maybe shoot some training bots before to warm up and play dm to train a skill (crosshair placement, long range taps, etc.)
die for you dropped on November 22nd, 8 days before Champs started, so the 2022 music video will drop on August 23rd, 8 days before Champs starts this year.
hopefully they have actual players in this one now that they have some time to animate it.
there's another unrevealed tournament in the works too, since some teams are unable to attend homegrounds to play in it instead.
ding ding ding
this is his most recent post btw
Riot policy of loving everyone but Europeans
Fortunately Valve is better, Valve know where the skill belongs
make sure Noyn is right next to trembolona
fantastic fundamentals 90% of the time but 10% absolute individual inting (zmjkk is generally the culprit) that sometimes works
very mechanic-intensive playstyle that is generally utility deficient, they rely on taking 1v1 duels to get into sites often. The players are all incredible shots, so they will win a lot of these duels. on defence you'll see them push extremities and main lanes very often to force the enemy team react (and often make mistakes) or take duels which is their forte. interestingly, there's often more utility here than on their retakes or execs.
imo they feel like a Masters 3 Gambit that plays PRX-style-esque comps.
somehow relates every conversation back to CS, ukraine flag, been here for a while
zack-something
or maybe it was something-zack
eitherway he def had zack in the username
it's essentially an exclusive ranked queue only available to certain players with a cash prize as the reward for the winner(s)
Over 70% of GE’s revenue currently comes from prize winnings via tournaments that its teams compete in, while the remainder comes from content and media (2%), sponsorships (4%), merchandise sales (3%), and other interests (21%).
only 7% of their revenue from sponsorships and merch, how the fuck does this work lmfao. aren't sponsorship and merch (with VC money) usually the backbone of every org
