Yay isn't coming to EMEA

posted about 2 years ago

Oh yeah that might be true. I completely forgot it. I guess I was thinking he was going to watch Champions, but Russia -> Turkey -> France makes more sense.

Would love to see Turkish teams going international, but I doubt it. But its pretty interesting. nAts went to Paris "for vacation" while having setup there ready for him, and now Chronicle going to Turkey for some reason and having setup ready for him. Also Fnatic is an option considering that Alfajer is Turkish and maybe they want to film promo video or something in Turkey? Also I don't know about Visas, but isn't it easier for Russians to fly to Turkey than many other EU countries?

We don't know because we don't know the rosters. But my prediction:
NA - Sentinel, because they have so many fanboys so they will always perform worse than expectations from mainstream
EMEA - Vitality, because they always build super teams but end up sucking anyway like their LoL roster. I can see something similar happening in Valorant.
Pacific - Zeta, because again there's many fanboys and people who believe in Japan.

Koldamenta, hoody, nukkye, Cloud, Molsi, Twisten

Yeah.. I don't know about this one. He fucked up badly considering that it cost them the slot for Valorant franchise league and I can just imagine that many investors and sponsors weren't happy. But damn. I still think this is really harsh punishments all things considered. He still build G2 to be one of the biggest esport orgs in the world. If he just took some time off everyone would have forgotten this in no time if I'm honest. What he did wasn't that bad in the end of the day.

I guess it tries to give you a personality type based on what you answer to the questions. And those letters mean something like first are you more introvert or extrovert and then next letters again comes from 2 different opposites if I'm not wrong and then you get 4 letter combination that is the personality type.

He will shit people even harder in NA so that is better option for him

EMEA: Vitality, NAVI

How is Korean player going to Korea import? Japan sure, but not for Korea.

Nah both Cloud and Ardiis deserve starting spot on team

posted about 2 years ago

Doesn't matter. Majority of the 6th players will be just bench warmers from tier 2/3. No player with actual potential or future would accept being the 6th player.

posted about 2 years ago

Ok this confirms that they are going to or at least trying to buy whole FPX. No other reason. 7ssk7 and Cloud are insane tho and sad to see them go if everything works out, but they will 100% find teams in franchising leagues no doubt. Unless there's problems with Cloud's visa.

Can't blame NaVi tho. They would get Ukrainian IGL and face of the team. And out of rest 2 players and head coach would be non-Russian so signing them would be easier for them. And both Suygetsu and Shao while being Russian live in Serbia.

posted about 2 years ago

True about flexibility being important, but I don't think 6th man matters much. They have same system in LoL (at least some had) and most don't even know who the 6ths are. Like think about the best western LoL team world has seen (G2) had like Promisq and Pinoy as 6th men? If you don't know: they wweren't very good. Same as F1 teams have reserve drivers. I think its going to be pretty similar to that and you will see situations like when Otom was on Fnatic.
Some teams will use this properly tho, but my prediction is that many 6th players are just some tier 2/3 who just sit on bench most of the time. Obviously you have games like Overwatch where having more than 6 players actually helps a lot. But I doubt that will happen in Valorant.

IMO perfect fit would be

  • Leo
  • hoody

Players that pretty much play exact same role and agents, but are upgrades in firepower. Sheydos would be good as well, but I truly think hoody would suit this team really well as replacement for Mistic. I think people are sleeping on him a bit just because G2 wasn't doing well overall. He even performed on LAN.

And I think Shao is insane, but I actually rate Leo bit higher than him. Shao could be good because he adds more experience and could help Boaster with calling (maybe, he was the caller for FPX when ANGE1 couldn't play IIRC) tho. Can't go wrong with either one.

Depends how much they are willing to spend. Will they spend big money to get really good roster, or do they just want to stay in the middle of the pack.
But my roster for them assuming that they won't go crazy big money:

Fit1nho - duelist/Chamber (already in the team. Spanish representation. Has potential)
Hoody/Molsi - flex/flash (was in Giants before G2, still good on his role. And Molsi is underrated and really good)
Boo - smokes/IGL(?) (I don't know does he IGL but someone said he does and I think he proved himself on OGLU if that is the case)
Russz/Musashi - initiator (hard to figure out 5th, but both of these players could be good if they started playing initiator as main role)
Monsteerr - sentinel (underrated sentinel, had pretty good time in Acend and showed a lot of potential)

really mid tier team on paper, but that is my expectations from Giants. I don't think they will make a roster with big names. Especially for 1st team. Maybe I'm wrong. I think this team could be decent if the pieces work together.

Individually Braveaf I think. He just added more firepower. But I would say Enzo likely has better ability usage and added to calling. And we don't know how good Braveaf's Fade is while Enzo was one of the first top tier Fade util players IMO.

Americas: TenZ - just because there's still so so many fanboys who thinks he is a god and still look at his Iceland 2021 stats.
Europe: zeek - he was good last year, but has been really inconsistent in 2022. Some people still think he is god tier flex even though there are better ones.
Pacific: idk Skrossi I guess

posted about 2 years ago

Sounds good, but I really hope they stick with Cloud and 7ssk7. I've seen multiple people really underrating these 2. Cloud has always been a beast and has so so much potential. And 7ssk7 has finally found his consistency that he was lacking at some point and right now looks dangerous. Like these guys were performing against best of EMEA even when they had players like Duno and Dinkzj in same team. Imagine them on good team.

Jamppi - Piano
at least he was practicing and was already pretty good

I don't think Carlos is bad owner. Yeah he fucked up with this one, but if you look at G2's positions as esport org. Its pretty fucking good. I think he has done pretty good job with it. Obviously outside G2's success I have always been bit uncertain about Carlos. For me he comes out as arrogant and kind of asshole. That is the vibes he is giving me in interviews etc. That is part of G2's brand, but even still I feel like he might not be that nice of a person. And feels really cocky and high of himself. And some of the decision he has done with G2 has been good from orgs/finances point of view, but when it comes to listening to players and trying to make their life nice it feels bit shitty. Like when Perkz was forced to relocate to NA because G2 asked so much money and didn't want him to stay in EU. While you have orgs like Team Liquid who just let Han Sama go for free (to what I know).

Good, but not that good for Worlds song. Also video was really mid and forgettable.

posted about 2 years ago

Pretty good but lacks hype tbh. Also music video is ok, but idk feels really messy. Or at least I have problem following the storyline. Same with song tbh it kind of sounds like mixture of 2 songs.

Please no. No full Spanish speaking teams or full French speaking teams.

-Enzo (unless they value him as secondary IGL)
-Mistic
+Leo
+hoody

posted about 2 years ago

How is he perfect fit when he doesn't even fit in role wise? People seem to forget that Alfajer is their sentinel player. So unless they change him to full flex/duelist role it wouldn't make sense.

posted about 2 years ago

You know game is good when they don't have to update it every month

posted about 2 years ago

Hard to say because we don't know what these orgs want from their rosters. Only 2 who in my opinion 100% deserved to be in this league are nukkye and hoody. Nukkye is super star level player who will new team with ease unless he gets trapped in contract jail. And even then someone from NA would likely buy him out. And hoody has shown that he is good flex player even if he didn't have the best LCQ. I think Meddo and Avova are just so inconsistent that I can't say for sure will they find a team in tier 1. And I just don't believe in Mixwell even tho he will likely find team in KOI or Heretics.

posted about 2 years ago

Makes sense I guess. He has been the face of Giants Valorant for some time by being Spanish. Even when Giants qualified for EMEA VCT. I haven't seen his recent games, so can't say much but at least he used to be promising Jett player with good OP skills. So I think all in all he should do fine. Only question is that will some more proven player in his role get shafted to tier 2 because Giants decided to stick with him. I mean its fine and hopefully he will do good!

posted about 2 years ago

Representation is nice and everything, but realistically MENA team would have been a wasted spot. Falcons did pretty well against tier 2 teams but that's it.

posted about 2 years ago

Only reason why I'm not too excited of them adding 2 Turkish teams is that Turkish teams are the most likely to stay with full Turkish rosters like in the past and that might bring the competitiveness down and take spots from players who actually deserved them more. Don't get me wrong all in all BBL has been doing pretty well in EMEA and FUT has done well in VRLs, but I just don't know how long they can keep up with player rotations. Full single nationality teams have even became more and more irrelevant in CSGO out of any games. In long term it can cause issues.

Turkey has big fanbase and playerbase so its not end of the world and understandable from Riot, but its bit ehh especially when you also had orgs like BIG.

At least we didn't get fucked as hard as NA

posted about 2 years ago

fuck seems like FUT made it... 2 full Turkish teams in 10 team league smh

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think its been confirmed yet. Last time I checked it just said they are the most likely team but not confirmed. Could have changed tho.

posted about 2 years ago

fuck for second I thought FPX could be getting the 10th EMEA spot. But damn will FPX likely make money from this. Sell as whole (prop too expensive) or just sell one by one. All of them are arguably top 5 in their roles (outside of Zyppan maybe, but he really stepped up for Champions).

posted about 2 years ago

MAD Lions or BIG first that comes to mind. Unless G2 is begging to get in and Riot decides to let them into EMEA aka their 2nd option. Unlikely, but if you really want to create EU league with big potential you want to include G2. No matter what Carlos did. Also OG or Excel could make it.

I just wonder why last EMEA spot isn't leaked yet to begin with? The problem with last NA spot was that G2 was supposed to get in, but got denied last second. But G2 wasn't even supposed to get into EMEA, so why there seems to be problems with last EMEA spot as well? Like are they still thinking should they let G2 into EMEA instead or what.

posted about 2 years ago

Maybe they just lack infrastructure in NA. Their offices etc are in Korea and from Riot's perspective much rather let T1 into Korean league to possibly increase the interest of Valorant esport among Koreans. They have way more to gain by doing this.

posted about 2 years ago

True, but Cender is more like sentinel main. He plays Chamber, but isn't really a duelist. I think Vitality will make a lot of changes to their rosters because they are big money org. For example I'm predicting that nAts is joining Team Vitality as replacement for Cender.

posted about 2 years ago

BBL would be my guess.
Fnatic has Derke
Liquid has Jamppi/Scream
KOI maybe goes with Mixwell(hope not) - not sure
Giants will maybe stick with Fit1nho - not sure
NaVi has 7ssk7

that leaves Vitality, KCorp, Heretics, BBL + 1 maybe FUT

and players like Sayf, Ardiis, Chronicle(role?) are going to be looking for teams if the orgs allow them. That doesn't leave many options tbh. cNed stonks kind of went down because of Chamber.

posted about 2 years ago

What is happening with EMEA and NA 10th spots? All others are leaked but there seems to be confusion of the last spots. In NA its likely because of G2 situation, but that seems to be the thing in EMEA as well.

posted about 2 years ago

Is Boo the IGL of OGLU? Didn't know, but if he is that would be good signing for some team. OGLU's structure and teamwork has always been really good and Boo is decent as individual.

Also Koldamenta will likely be on the market.

posted about 2 years ago

I wish they signed hoody. He would be perfect replacement for Mistic IMO.

posted about 2 years ago

good but what the fuck is happening today so much drama

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah many good rosters getting split in both regions.

posted about 2 years ago

True. I'm scared same will happen in EMEA as well.

posted about 2 years ago

Hopefully FUT won't make it. Because Turkish teams if any want to stay full Turkish so it limits the changes of non-Turkish players if 2/10 are like that. No single nationally teams please. Unless its like 1 Turkish team and maybe Russian team because at least they have enough good players.

posted about 2 years ago

Nah its likely just "the time has come, execute order 66" and all Jedis die. Same as what is now happening in Valorant with orgs being eliminated from franchising and teams exploding.
